Tabou Thunder 70 & JP weed 36cm, Tabou Thunder 80cm & JP weed 42cm, NP RSR Eiii 7.8m

Yyyyeeeeaaaaahhhhhaaaarrrrrgggggghhhhhh

Great crew

Springy

Long runs across the estuary

Interesting Chop

POWER!!!!!!!

I am one happy (albiet a tad sore) little muppet.

Early start allways with the plan of being home by lunch time to spent some time this arvy with my chickybabe, wind was heaps better than expected, ie it was actually as forecast. At times the 7.8 was a handfull especialy as it wasn't downhauled properly other times I was using the chop to surf down to keep planing but overall it was a lot of fun.

Started out on the 70 which felt under finned for the chop although fun it was cavitating a bit and I couldn't use my normal fin brutality, Finished of my first hour which didn't feel all that flash so I decided to upsize the board as the wind was supposed to fade through the morning.

Straight of the bigger thunder was rockin and a rolling, so much better although the 42cm fin was giving me a ripper thigh burn on both tacks, it was so much fun, a fair bit of air time was had launching here there and everywhere.

Fantastic day out for spring and great to do 2 solid hours and get long runs over the estuary.

I wasn't as brave as Mike for venturing into Boombas as I was using fins almost twice as long.

That and seeing a flock of pelicans standing on the water in the area I circled.

Great day out, great to see Hardz up and around in a positive frame of mind and all the other happy campers who got some spring lovin

Great sail at Cobblers with Elmo, Fin, Binny and yoyo. After the hr and distance mainly but also practiced my port tack gybes, in the hope of achieving something.

Started off with the big stuff, 65cm, 6.6m2 and the 29cm @ 45d, had a long run over to Boombas but found the chop in the middle to much of a challenge. Plenty of flat water at Boombas, but shallow and a mine field of weed burgs. I found a reasonably long stretch of flatish water without to manty nasty surprises, so stayed in there to finish the hr. Came back and changed to the 53cm board, and played on the ward pt sandbank. Then came back in for lunch as the wind eased a tad, and went back out on the 65, more fun at ward pt until the wind really dropped, then slogged my way home.

Pleased with the results, Pass also has over 100km, just hope he has a good alpha.

cobblers to boombas

Well that answers that question, the long light strip out from Narimba cay, is passable with a 29cm fin at low tide, we don't have toworry about that!

Edit, a bit suspicious about a gpsar alpha result, it shows a 22 @ 52m, but a bit further back the tracks come together a bit more. Iexpected this alpha to come up somewhere in the top 5 at 50m but it didn't. So booted into windoze and checked with realspeed.

That has the gybe at a total distance of 416m, and only dropped .2kt. So I've claimed that, and knocked back my 110km trackpoint distance to 109km doppler, The other figures are within a poofteenth so I haven't bothered to change them.

Cobblers to ward Pt and back afew times, WA, AU.

            Carve99, GTX 7m, 25.5cm weedy @45.

A fun day out from Cobblers, all day, though I didn't get out till about 10am. Elmo had disappeared over the horizon and Decrepit was about to launch.

I'm not doing too well with rocks in the water,... scraped the fin again, it's getting a bit shorter each session. It gave a little bit of trouble to start with,

but after some weed and sandbanck therapy,.. on the fin, all was fine.

Yep, great to see Hards by the water, even if he was hobbling around!

Should have worn boardies, was a tad over heated in a springy & impact vest, used about 1.5l of water.

Thanks to yoyo for telling us how to increase the number of colour steps in GPS visualizer. Not sure it helps much though very hard to tell the difference between those shades of green.

And my best alpha was on port tack, 2nd best on starboard in the chop
