Melville Beach, WA, AU

An unexpected arvo on the river. It was just shy of sensational with the set up i used. A loveley 15-20kn WSW, warm water and super flat.....well compared to yesterday anyway. Just shy of an alpha PB, which was also on this board. Hope Anita and Ricey had as much fun.

Tabou rocket 135, NP V8 8.5, jp weedy 36.

Melville Beach, WA, AU iS111, 6.4K, 23 Pepeweed

Gusty, holey, but better than I was expecting. Planing most of the time on the 6.4 which I used because it goes well with the Pepeweed which is safer over the Melville sand bar.

More gybe practice. Still making small breakthroughs. I will get a fully planing gybe eventually.

Good to catch up with Ricey, Lunny and GS.

Melville, Kode 122, CR7.5, Drake 38 & 42cm, started off with wrong fin and not in control. Bigger fin meant no more spin outs. And had a nice couple blasts acroos the river.

Good to see Anita and meet Ricey!

Good numbers for a light wind session Lunny. You put the rest of us to shame. I'm claiming it was the extra 25% in sail area. Laughing

I see what you mean about just shy of an alpha PB - 0.01knot!  Yell Amazing you could do a better alpha today in the light wind than the one you did yesterday which earned you an alpha bean!
