Primbee, NSW, AU

Board Stbd Atomic 110.  74.5cm wide with 6.5 no cam NCX.  32 cm weed fin.  Sailing in waist deep water the majority of time with a bit in heavy nasty chop and some in smooth with the occasional grounding.  Wind was NW gusting to around 30 knots.  On the edge.Laughing

First of the GPS challenge race, not sure what 4 of us (Brett, Justin, Christian) were thinking of rigging way too big especially sailing in the deeper water, nasty chop!! Got flattened on one of the gybe and that was it.

Congrats to everyone involved int eh GPS challenge.

Smashing the 40 knot barrier and also your previous PB Matt. How does it feel to sail at these speeds? I'm pretty sure you are the first Demerit to go faster than 40 knots. Well done.

Cheers guys, I'm stoked. Didn't feel like 40 at the time but I wasn't what you call comfortable and in control, so it felt crazy. Was very surprised to see 41 when uploading.

Thanks George, I don't know if I can squeeze much more out of my 75cm free move board.  Cheapest option would be to get a couple of slalom fins now instead of my freerides.  Just need to break the 30knot now and 20 knot alpha.

Ha! Didn't use the Canmore but found a downside to the mount. Quite a few punters advised me that my "camera" was pointing straight up. Made me laugh anyway.

Thanks Fangman.
