Glory Holes, Australind, WA, AU

Iso111, X15, 7.6, Weedster36cm

A fun afternoon, cruising around in the deeper water at Australind. Had the place to myself. I was quite excited to try out my new teeny weeny Canmore GPS. I reckon its a ripper, but looks like I need to find where to set it to 2sec intervals - will seek your advice Fangman.  The gps was swimming in my usual aquapaq, but I have a Paqua Key in the mail.  Excellent gps to just chuck on and forget, not much use if you want to check your stats out on the water (particularly with my failing eyesight), but Im not concerned about that.

Hey Stretch,I will have to check but from memory the Canmore software, ' Canway' gives you access to setting to set it on 1 second intervals. Be careful about the water proofing side of things - I don't trust the rubber seal over the USB port -> so perhaps pop it in a clip lock sandwich bag as well?? In any case have a look at the Canway software and see if you can sort it, if not let me know - pm me on Seabreeze as fangman 😄

Thanks Fangman. Sounds like I need to set it up from the laptop, I was thinking I could do it straight fron the device. Will keep you posted. Yes, the sandwich bag is exactly what I did. FWIW, my Garmin has the same USB setup and never had any issues with it. Might fill the screw hole with silicon also

Good stuff. I think you can do it straight off the unit, but I have to put on another set of eyes and an extra portion of patience to do it:-)

Stretch, don't know if that was typo, but Fangy's right again, you need to set it to 1sec not 2sec intervals.

Yep, all fixed now. Couldn't do it direct off the gps, but Loaded up the software and it was dead easy to change to 1 sec. Should be good for next time. Thanks for the help Fangman

Ok good to see that was sorted. Now next problem with the unit is that it is about 25% slow. So once you have got your speeds multiply them by at least 1.25 to get a decent number, (I often multiply by 1.3 to be sure) and then post.... :-)
