Having emulated Capt'n Cook and his Endeavour's gnarly groundings too many times in FangyLand, Fin and I were both keen to minimise further Weedy and Delta repairs. Fin, having sconned a sizeable rock in the past, had marked the area with an orange conduit pipe but wasn't convinced that this position was accurate. So it was that we waded out through the weed, the blue swimmers and the ever-present and persistent Wok Brigade to the original crash site, armed with more conduit, hacksaw, block of wood, the head of a brickie's hammer (!) and Fin's GT31. Sherlock Fin deduced from his GT31 that we needed to head west and we duly found 2 further patches of rock which we marked with conduit. The hacksaw blade made a slot in the top to accomodate something dangly or sparkly to aid identification and navigation. At the mention of the word "sparkly" both Fin and I started hunting, Fangy-like, for any stray timepieces that might have been shed by gybing sailors but no luck at all. The 3 markers indicate the biggest rocks and we will be suggesting that the area be gazetted as The WazzaFinWrekkin Reef. Sail over it at your peril! Having waded 3.5 km through the slime we called it a day and returned home.
As the wind picked up Fin and I decided to return to Nairns for a quick run in the smooth . Whilst we were rigging things were fine but then SaltyNuts and Girl Speed appeared and the wind shed a good 5 knots. Then Fangy the Fast arrived, sans trailer, and killed the rest stone dead. I rigged the 7.8m2 but only had a couple of runs and, wisely, elected not to head towards Bunbury for fear of a long walk home. I think Fin came to the same conclusion.
Maybe tomorrow?

of rocks that may cause damage, but are reasonably flat on bottom but still a bit shallow.
Had a bit of fun with Wazzayotty,.. well it could be termed as fun?? Not mutch wind but lots of smooooth!!!!!!!
