Full Bogan (42931km): Quick early session at boggy lake before wife goes to the markets. Used 7.8m evo 111 with Fanatic Falcon 111. Looks like they will have a good afternoon at bog. Have fun guys
Tricky Bogan (21417km): Wow what a work out Hit the water before low tide to settle in for a harden up session, nice planing crusing conditions then right on low tide zip time for the wobble waltz, Luckly the wind kicked back in & 40m later it started to have some grunt, bailed out on my hour effort to go in & change down to the Isonic 87 while there was some flat water left. Came back out struggled to get on the plane, could not crack a planing jibe & was slower than the CASL101 duh wrong change, lots of teaser gust made me persist for the next 2 hours. Eventually I made the supreme scrafice to go back in & change back to the CA sl101, that will make the wind blow! well even that failed stilled struggled to get going out of jibes, then slowly the wind built to finnish off a nice session. Sailed on the inside on the rizing tide untill the floating cork weed & the floating ribbon burgs got the better of Hoppy & I even the weed fins were struggling with the bulk!. Moved to the gulf side & finnished the session smashing over the chop. Good fun & a solid work out. Koncept 6.6 CA SL101 32 Lessacher Duo Weedie & mid session Isonic 87, 28 Lessacher Duo Weedie.
hoppybogan (25813km): Stansbury, SA, AU SSE 12-17+ Fanatic Falcon 102, HSM GPS 6.6, BP 28 weedy Todays plan was some distance sailing. Set sail at 10.30 and settled in for a hour attempt but it was not powered up. Tide was way out so we walked out to sail inside in the bay. Was planing around though and the forecast was promising so kept at it. There were some glassed over patches that were fun to gybe on. Tricky headed in before the hour to swap down to the 87 isonic, feeling the wind would pick up. As the water came over the spit the weed was annoying so i headed out on the ocean side and got clear water, but it was choppy and the last hour of sailing was a real effort, coming in well knackered. Relaxed with a few beers with Tricky pleased with the efforts and hoping to score a jelly bean or two,or three
PJ (24612km): Lake George-SSE 18-24 knots-JP Speed 54-Loft Blade 5.6m-MxR UFO 40 24cm Great conditions, still choppy but water level is 300mm lower than same time last year. Jamie sailing as well as ever whereas myself felt rusty as, stuffing gybes not feeling settled and locked in. Picture tells all and not going upwind without some effort!!
Captain skip bogan (50090km): Boggy Lake, SA, AU Fun arvo sesh at Boggy on the big girl . The wind started out patchy 13 - 15 knots and later in the day picked up to 15 - 20 knots. Good turnout and happy to see the seabreezes are starting . Fanatic falcon 113 / 6.6m Hot sails GPS and Black Project R375 fin.
Jack Bogan (3705km): Boggy Lake, SA, AU Excocet SCross L106l , Loft Racing Blade 6.3, Simmer Style Freeride 38cm. Had to use freeride fin due to spinout with fin that came with the board. First session since joining. Couldn't find any wind in the smoth area by the reeds. Wind was building when I left. Happy with the results.
X (4599km): Still taking it easy on my knee so just had a short blast on the choppy inside. Madd 162, HSM SpeedFReak 6.5, 2 x BPF Type S 35
Retired Bogan (6747km): Boggy Lake, SA, AU very gusty day forecast was to increase to 20+ mid arv and it did about 4.00 and came in consistent, had rigged 5.2 Hellcat on Exercet 58 expecting it to kick in earlier so was underdone early and a lot of time glugging so felt pretty buggered soon after it kicke in. A good turnout with several new faces which is good to see.
Jimbob (26496km): Off to the pub will put up the bullshit story and tracks tmro morning. well here we go. SSE 20-25 sometimes more, LG from the spit, F2sxs with 24 tec falcon fin, 4.9 Loft blade, had PJ for company and danny also turned up (dont know why he dosent post as had gps on) started doing runs along the spit but way shallow so tried my 25 vector weedy but went back to the tec. only doing 35's so done 2 runs on the missile but I was shit on it and was slower. stayed cloudy all day if it cleared would have been clean off. went on the midle lake for a blast up the top for a look and then over to cockys to do some alphas and had my peak there straight away, always windier over cockys side, duh my alphas where all too wide better practice some more. looks like its good again today, will miss tmro as have to take a car to melb for my boy flying in fron london. next teusday wed and thursday look the goods as well gunna be a sweet days off but back to work next friday.
