| evets (21500km): 2 categories   Lilacs JP54SP RSREIII 6.2 MXR 24 weedy Forecast looked ok, turned out excellent. Decided to go for an hour. Dropped three gybes (25 successful), just not had enuf TOW recently. Boom broke at exactly 1 hour. Pretty happy really, it could have happened at 58 mins! Previously I had enjtered hours at Lilacs after a NM run, that would have helped but I did no think of it today. Pity I had to stop, it was getting better and better. Was going to take out the 45 and delta for a NM or two, would have been interesting. A day for breaking things, Shane snapped a mast and Michael broke a mast base. Still a great day on the water! Was going to just try for alphas, but hour looked too attractive. 5xalpha 50 24.75. This takes me to 108, just need to improve my.... well everything would help but my 2 sec and 5x are by far my worst. Fortunately boom just went floppy 2/3 back on one arm so I sailed back at near top speed. Could not have asked for a more gentle failure of kit.

, had few run going into extra shallow, to see how close can I get lol. Did not borther going to the speed strip, enough fun just at front. Had a look between islands, looking not bad.
