Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU

average conditions tyoday very gusty just not suited for a speed board with a big guy anyway

but the first hour was fun

a bit dissapointed finally did over  40 knots on my 58cm carbon art slalom board with 7.0 racing blade and 19cm delta gone so close

so many times peaked at 40 .04

great to catch up with all the maruaders

Felt really rotten today terrible sore throat, should have stayed at home. But the promise of a good sail lured me out.

Started on FF79 with TR9 6.6m, had a couple of runs over 37 so went in to change down. Rigged the 5.5 with a 17 Delta - but of course it dropped off then

Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU TR9 Maui 6.6, CA44, 21cm 48deg carbon home made fin.

Good to be back on the speed board I love it.Great day sail.

I just wish we would get enough wind that I can use the 5.5m again one day it never seems to blow over 30 any more.

Combo was perfect. I did try a 20cm vector 45 deg but it was slower as not enough power and made hard work going up wind.

Heaps out car park was full nice sailing with every one.

Good wind at last l could use my small 5.6m overdrive with the isonic90 but then where is the result? I dont know. lt just didnt want to happen. Got there a little late and l think l missed the train. Enjoyed it anyway!

20-30kts + S Buff Pt - Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU

 5m OD - 79ltre Falcon - 20cms Delta / 5m + 68ltre Starboard acid waveboard + 19cms makani freemove fin

Well I don't think I'll be increasing my 2 sec until I can afford a speed board..Cry..Once it hits 25kts + PB weather the falcon is too big and flighty and I have to switch to the waveboard which is a much better size but harder to get upwind and slow as a wet week..Undecided

Wind was out in the chop and too gusty in the flats. Survival sailing a lot so didn't try and gybe much .Lost too much upwind gybing anyway.Alpha was out in the chop.

I hate Deltas! All over the place today - half LG technique / 1/2 usual. I don't usually spin out with the small fins or deltas but heaps today. B scary flying down over the back of the rollers in the channel overpowered with the back end trying to overtake the front Surprised. Just need to get used to things as occasionally I'd push on the fins and they went ok. Just need to not touch them bearing off- all front foot.

Nice to be able to take a mouthful of water and not gag and no mud!

Heaps people there! Car jam and all up the street!  Bruce , Tibor , Andrew, Bryon, Nick, Hugh, Russell and Micheal, Alwyn, Mick , Milsy , Dean from Sydney, Paul  + assorted others?

Spoilt with LG expect 33kts + ..no way here..

Marmong Point, NSW, AU

Exocet Cross FSW 94, Mauisails Ghost 6.1 / Legend 5.0, 30cm fin - Wind SSE 20-25 kts

Great after work session at Marmong with Gert, Cluffy and John.   Surprised by the low 2sec speed but its hard to go fast with a 2-3 ft rolling swell!   Lots of fun, plenty of jumps and carving up and down.   Rigged 5.0 initially but then swapped to 6.1 for a while before it kicked in and went back to the little sail.

Some pics of Cluffy and John:
