Sandy Point, Vic, AU

Arrived at Sandy Point at midnight. slept till 5.30. Cooked some snags whilst rigging. Met the Queenslanders and a Frenchman, and then it was go time!

First thought was cowardess and subsequently i swap out my new 60 litre weapon for my trusty CASL55 90 litre.

First run 38.xx, which gave me the confidence that i needed to mount a real sinker, back to the CA40. It was suprisingly easy to get going, probably due to the 35knots blowing down The Pit.

i tried once to launch from the opposite bank but found it exhausting trying to point with a 21cm fin, so proceeded with the rest of my runs starting from the top of the run. Walking back up the run was again an easier option than sailingEmbarassed.

Very happy with the session, not the strongest wind i've had there but certainly the best day.

Was great to meet some new challengers and a huge congrats to everyone just for braving those gnarly conditions. Not to mention the huge pbs accross the board.

All hail "The Pit"

CA40, GPS 5.5, Vector Delta Speed 21.

Thanks Karl, Sandy Point is always worth it. It's not often that i don't improve my speeds there. I would love to see some DDs there one day.

I would love to go there once, let's see what happens for easter. Do you go for the day or sleep somewhere?

I sleep anywhere GeorgeKiss. I only make the trip on a solid forecast. At least 25+ SW for great fun but preferably 35+ WSW for speed.
