10-20kts + WNW Peel st Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU

Well I took 4 boards and used 3. Started with the 7m OD + 95ltre rocket and 30cm weedie. Fun in the gusts but the wind wasn't consistent enough to get upwind so after an hr or so swapped to the 115 Xcross. Much better upwind and fun but slow as - best speed by now 25.8kts on Xcross..

Went in for a rest and heart palps so lay in the sun 15mins then back out with 79ltre - 7m + 30cms weedie. Wow so much more fun! Bit on the edge at first as strong ( Mat had his 7.3m on and was going and others had 7m's on that weighed more than me). Screamed upwind , much faster!1st run 28.5 - 29.6 - 30.x then 32..kts

Came in and changed to the 6.6m. By now I'd been out almost 4 hrs and my neck was killing me + tired.

Happy with that speed - got 32.01 but knew I'd lose some ..grr. Happy with the aplha too.

This direction is good for nm , alphas and distance - a bit like LG. Not that flat but the chop wasn't that big.Fun day! All sailed out so I won't be tempted tomorrow and will be a good girsl and stay home and work..Undecided

Andrew, Milsy , Paul, Mat, Rus, Rick + others. Tibor , Bruce and frothie arrived late but it had had it by then. Deep at the moment usual shallows are about thigh deep for me..went within 20m of the land and didn't hit bottom with 30cm fin.

 Painkillers tonight but worth it!Wink

Looks like Newie got more wind but that's normal in that direction!

Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU

FF89 and Maui TR9 6.6m

Arrived at 8.20am, Greg K, had already left. Pretty light early on, but filled in quite nicely. Never seen the water so deep, so able to go everywhere even with a 28cm weedy. At times I was sailing over the sandy area to the east, which is normally only 10cm deep.

No flat water anywhere, so pretty happy with the speeds, tried a few Nauticals but never managed to get 2 mins of strong wind.

Late shift for the oldies after those young whippersnappers used up the best wind in the morning. Amazed the speed was so good as the wind was really dodgy & we ended up floating home. CASL70, 6.6, 28MUF. Other elderly ones were Ancient Pete, Antideluvian Tibor & Young Wayne.

Using the isonic 90, a normal 27 weedy and overdrive 6.7

Well....this is a surprise! We went out hoping to plane at all. Wayne Bruce Peter but there were others as well.

I think it was the second run only when l got a nice gust and just started winding up the speed when a sudden summersult ended my happy journey. Bruce is still laghing as he would. l never really got any more descent gust and we came in aout 30-40 minutes later.

Anyway, it was better than cutting the grass at home. I keep forgetting that l dont do that!

Teralba, NSW, AU Maui TR11 6.6 , RS4 v max 39, RS2 v max 33.

Good sail would have liked to smash over 200km but wind died at 2 pm.

Decided to go to marmong as it was heaps windier than budgi Newcastle was gusting to 40 budgi had 15 at 7 am this morning.yep early start

Marmong typical westerly 10 knots to 30 so hard work doing those kinds of KM.

Did a bit of tuning today its nice grassy rigging and easy to get in and out.

Hope to sail again tomorow some where.
