An up & down day with Hoppy Carl & Sam, forcast promised but alas it was not to be! Good fun day &  an adventure for Carl & Sam, Hoppy with a story, it was all good! Isonic 87 to start then the wind dropped & then CA 101, Loft Racing Blade 6.3, Lessacher Weedie, The Loft handled well but it was not the conditions for a real test & feel.

Only Demon out today. Surprised no one there, until Gareth said Sam and Carl had gone to Stansbury. Only a beginner and a new face on old retro gear on the water ( Gareth didn't go out ).

Westerly 10 - 20knts up to 25knts in the gusts. Wind came in after I decided to call it a day.

Chose the 5.5 as expected wind to come on. Should have gone for the 6.3 but too lazy to change up.

Tried a new spot with Tricky, Hoppy and Sam today.  A little disapointing at the start with light wind and boom kept sliding too low.  Managed 2 half powered runs and the rain and drizzle set in and left me with a long glug.  Happy to make it back to shore. 

Soon the wind swung south west and cranked nice but the chop increased.  Managed some nice runs in the ocean swells and was loving the 6.6, 113 fanatic - made the chop smooth and the new Gun Sails 29 weedy worked a treat.

The other boys sat it out with some crazy chop and wind coming through while i was loving it .

Sam tried a run at the end but went sideways and had to bail out.

Thanks for the company Sam, Tricky and Hoppy and thanks Tricky for the after sesh beers and chocolate.

PS new spot will work well with decent NW wind.....

Fanatic Falcon 113 / 6.6 Hotsails GPS and Gun sails 29 weedy.

Hope for a better day tomorrow at Stansbury ....

Shit day - heart and mind not in it today - Carl was on fire and loving it.  Couldn't get in the groove.

Hope tomorrow's a better day.  Good to sail with Tricky and Hoppy.
