Exocet RS2- Mauisails TRXI 7.0 - 6.3 - ERD 34

Started sort of mild Southerly and then got angry to real angry, rolling chop was getting a bit scary near the runway.

Had two other brave companions on slalom kit, Mike and John and a lot of other on wave/bump & jump kit. Also pretty cool to see some OC1, SUP and kayaks doing some downwind runs in these conditions.

fun day on the water despite hopeless and unimaginative kitesurfers blocking and jumping in the middle of speed strip.

Great session with Keith and Gav. Wind came through eventually and felt like it was blowing around 25-28knt S-SSE in the peak. Pretty happy with the Falcon... thanks Keith for helping me tweak it :)

Good to meet some new faces too... Dezza, MT, Roar and a couple more whose names I can't remember.

Good fun, great to be with Artur and 4-5 kiters that took over the speed strip. In the end was too much for that sail on the small board.

Heh, Remi, brave. You, John, Me. 7.0, 6.3, 5.5 respectively.

Nice speeds in that chop. The runway got the nastiest I've seen it - weird...

27 knot nautical mile - nuts.

LOL Remi at the down wind comments on the SUPs and kayakers. I can imagine it. Great sailing results all round and great PBs Nigel. I was thinking of going to Canton Beach today but could not find my card to open the car park roller door where I park my van. However it looks like the wind would have come through too late. How is this lake Wollumboula? How long does it take to get there?

Cheers guys. Second time out on the Falcon and felt like I was getting it dialled in. Found it very hard to gybe at the choppy end of the lake though... bouncing around everywhere, so I was happy to get a 20 alpha. There's no way I could ride a board like this in Botany on a Southerly (maybe in a few seasons).

Karl, Woolumboola is about 2hrs from Maroubra, so you'd need to add another 30 or 40 minutes from Hornseby. Definitely have to find that garage key, coz I'm keen to sail Budgy or Canton next time.

Great effort Nigel. Glad the trip down to the Shoalhaven paid off. Hope you enjoy Melbourne as much as I'm sure I'll enjoy Canberra this week!

Remi is 2nd in NSW and Artur 4th . I think both results are remarkable: Remi only sails in the chop, and to add to Michael Thomson comment about the mile at 27 knots in the chop, that included a jibe ! Artur is such a sailing machine that you only see him at the beginning and the end of his session... so if you're looking for role models here you have them

Well done all you guys! Not being able to sail at the moment is doing my head in especially with all this wind coming through over the next week.

Great results Nigel with 5 PB's! Go the Falcon!

Remi fast as always through chop. Funny with the site seeing commentary when the rest of us it would only see a blurr at that speed.

Karl. Thats must be one of the lamest excuses for not going windsurfing? I thought I had that prize with my wife not letting me go out and play...

Good also to see the fast sessions in Woolaware Bay and Yarrawonga. Go team!
