Top day for a sail!! All the usual suspects plus N1gel, Midcoast Marauders doing a rece, and others. Pretty ordinary start with the wind all over the place from the west, then it settled well for the afternoon. Great drag racing with Matt, Keef, Kenny and Gab.

I got the AtomIQ 110 fired up in the mornig session with a 5.5 Sailworks Retro ( I had the Retro 7.5 rigged as well, but as soon as I rigged it the wind kicked in properly:-)). So it was me that took one for the team!) I'll review the board and in the seabreeze forum - in the meantime I can tell you it was great!!

To top the day off, Keef had the Gustbusters T shirts to hand out, Great effort Mate - they're tops!

Jumped on the JP Single Fin Thruster for the aftenoon session- same Retro sail tho. Actually there were Five  sailors on Sailworks sails today- Good to see!

And thanks All for a great day after a bit of a wind drought!

Hey captain keef, don't we also need stats on what wetsuit thicknesses everyone's wearing? I reckon some must've worn 5mms today, anyone in a 3/2??? Good to see the peanut fin is still going, 16cm on a 6.4 sail 😮😵

How big was the chop down there today? Would a 20cm delta have worked? Have to get down there one day this winter.

Nice one Gav and thanks for bringing the wind back with you Wink

Dezza, I was fine in a 3/2 Cool

Sue, the chop was about 1ft in the roughest area, but flat in the shallows. A 20cm Delta would be fine. Keith had a teeeny little 16cm. You've got to come down to Primbee next time... such a great vibe down there.

I'm tough Dez,3/2 shorty for me todayWink

actually wussy as I was riding a beginners board.Alex is having a crack at Bic Techno.I  was teaching him how to use a mastrack, plastic board, heavy rig and a daggerboard. He is going in his first triangle race on Saturday. He had no problem going fron 50 litres to 205 as he was doing some nice jumps.

I was in a 3:2, plus poly pro T under, booties and a beanie.......warm as toast! The chop was non existent in close, but it was SHALLOW! Got a bit scary when you see someone standing in just over ankle deep and you're going flat out towards them........ Nice lumps out in the middle.

Thanks everyone - yep shallow thats like Budgy- scary yesterday racing into the shallows and I was the only going in there so no idea when it got too shallow..( I'd been out the week before but it could have got shallower)..I'll get there one day - 300kms each way + 3 hrs + drive each way dri so it will have to be an overnighter.
