113 Manta, 7.0 RRD Firewing, 23 Delta

91 Mistral, 6.2 RRD Firewing, 23 Delta

Early start with Stroppo at Liptons, tide was starting to drop, breeze was building and we were on a mission! Joined shortly after by Salty, Yoyo and Rod. Penny, Pepe and Hardie a bit later on.

Cranking through my hour (rough estimate of 45min mark) I took a glance at my GPS and saw it was on 'pause' OOPS! Not a happy camper as i thought all the distance was for nothing! Reset it and headed off again for some more fun, flat water with the tide and cranking! Heading back into shore for another run out, back foot stuck in the straps and off balance I went over the falls whilst holding onto the boom and SNAP! Gooseneck rope let go (better that than the rig! ) Bad luck for me at th 56 minute mark......Could've had a really good hour without that last 4 minutes doing nothing! Managed to Macguyver it back to the beach, changed down to the 91 and 6.2 and headed out again, Penny and Pepe rigging by this stage.

Belted back and forth for another hour before the breeze started to fade a little and the tide run nearly all the way out. Sureal sailing on glass @ 26knots! what a day it was turning out to be. Headed back in and grabbed the big kit again and out for some more runs. Breexe dropping a bit more  (i.e. altogether) and Stroppo, Rod, Pepe and myself headed back in.

Discussions RE: the wind were held back on the dry stuff, A concussion for Pepe's board (Turns out he had an arguement with a 'berg and lost)

The boys had a bite to eat and waiting a while before the breeze looked and felt to pick back up. They headed out and i headed off. What a top morning on the water!

6.4m rss, sl 58 ca, 21cm delta. Really good to get out with the crew, Duffy, Stroppo, Salty, Girlspeed, Rod and Hards were all getting amongst it. Fairly low tide so the delta was dusted off and went well. As Duffy mentioned, the delta got a bit of bottom of the estuary profiling. I decided to try out how the fin went over the weedbergs on one run and found out rather abruptly that some are best left alone. Might have to do some exploratory surgery tomoz. Great day out Smile

7.0 Firewing, 112L Mistral, 22 Delta

Struggled for inspiration to start with, but then the wind kicked and had pretty good time in the flat water even considering only doing the hour.

Would have liked to play around a bit with some speed runs but had to share the time with the Girlspeed all up pretty happy with the morning sail in some decent weather. Smile

I know you haven't posted yet, but you have been going up and down all day and the only thing that seems to have stopped you is the sun going down. Congrats on a massive distance Shanno, that's big time respect!
