Melville Beach, WA, AU

Plesant afternoon down at the local, to shallow to sail over the sandbar so only sailing on the lumpy stuff.

18knts and sunny come on summer

Great ocean blast. Unfortunantly my harness line broke after 45 min so my 1 hour attack didnt happen.

Felt like i had good speed today!

Great arvo @ Melville with Anita, Ricey and Tailwind. Plenty of other crew out enjoying the sunshine. How good was that  ?!?!!!! Cool

Melville - IS101, Turbo 6.5, Tectonics 36.  Awesome day for a sail - nice and flat.  Stayed on the water for the longest time so am very sore.

Cruisey hour attempt with Mark, nice steady 18 knots, a bit underpowered to go fast. Used the 112 which seems slow!

Tried an alpha behind the Pengo's bar but a bit too gusty and wind too light to really crank it.

Good fun afternoon though, good to see Geoff out Cool

Good workout outside the pond. Hr first then Alphas under Captain's instruction. Some good sized rolling swell in the bay kept it interesting with some nice hops, skips and jumps!

Good to see Geoff out and going well through the rough stuff.

Nice to see Speedy putting in the hard yards!

Nice bit of wind and flat water over the bar which got shallower as the afternoon progressed, which led to me leaving a nice grove accross it later on.

Rocket 125, Koncept 6.6m, 36 weedy

Saw Jake and Anita rigging up but not much after that. Good speeds Jake, perhaps that was why I did not see you.

Also good to see Shaw and Tailwind

Melville Beach, WA, AU 6.5 T4, iS111, 23 Pepeweed

I had a try at an hour but the runs were too short gybing over the bar, and in the lumpy stuff over the other side I kept falling in on the gybes.

It was nice to catch up with Jake, Ricey and Taill Wind, and see GS fly by.

I think I was the only one who got back over the bar without leaving a groove in it, which is why I had the 23 Pepeweed in. I was surprised it held on in the chop. It only spun out once. Not the best for getting upwind, but you can't have everything.

First time out in a short wettie this season. Roll on Summer!

I tired to use GPS logit again today. I thought it had turned itself off again, because I couldn't hear it, but toward the end of the session (when the wind dropped off) I could hear a faint croaking in the background. Ironically I could hear it calling out my speeds all the way home in the car, even though I thought I had it turned off, and it was in the back of the vehicle and I was in the front. I can never get that thing to do what I want it to when I want it to. Most annoying.

Super hour and alpha Jake, especially for only your second sail of the season. Your skills and fitness are amazing.

I hope someone was able to give that the back up it deserves.

Pity about the harness line, Hooksey. Good speed for the ocean.

Nice ocean speeds, Hooksey!

Great opening river hour, Snakey! Although I am not sure that JJ will forgive you for rendering his hour unnecessary!

Well that proves it, the warm weather is definitely on its way if Geoff has hauled his carcass out of hibernation! How did you like the old Edge Geoff? A nice afternoons work Pinneroo's, good numbers from top to bottom from everyone's :-)

Sue, just when I think I have it worked out GPSlogit finds another way to not do what I want. Could be user uselessness of course...

Hooksey, I hope you have two new harness lines to go with that new avatar... see Raygun's post from Saturday - http://gpsteamchallenge.com.au/sailor_session/show?date=2015-09-26&team=31

Second place, nice. Thanks to the Board Crazy Boys whose hour knocked the Tassie Speedseekers down a notch. I could get used to being second. (Two months in a row- well done, guys!) Hope we can hold on to that... one day to go this month, and no wind here.
