Boat Harbour Beach, TAS, AU  Only time for a few runs in scrappy flukey conditions. Obs looked better everywhere else  ... I'll take what I can get.

Tough going at lagoon bay - high tide and choppy as.

Good midweek sail with ben and geoff though

Stong westerly today, plenty of punch in the gusts! Got the 33 up on the screen but knocked back a bit... Tough to get a good long run in or any nice gybes, one of those days. Atleast I didnt break anything!!

Pitt Water, TAS, AU     Patrik 110, O.D 6.2, Volt 2 34cm, Prolimit vest with 3.6kg

First real sail on the new board went perfectly. Even in extremly hard, gusty conditions where I should of been on a 5.6/5.1. It really came in cranking after I was already doubting going on the 6.2 with the bigger board but went with it anyway. Faced with a long walk into shore I stuck at it and was rewarded nicely. The board was hooting along with plenty of over 30 2 secs and 1 31 knot run which dropped right down. I have no doubt that there could of been a 32 or even a 33 but it was really hard to go for it without dying, as I learnt. I was way too over powered to commit to any gybes yet alone pull them off, board is amazing to gybe though and through the chop. If Dad and Jock found it hard, then I was in a Whole new extreme, never the less it was a fantastic day for me. I am Keen to get some smashing speeds as i know I can do it now that I have much more stabilty both in the rig and board. I can already see I am going so much faster in the gusts than anything I have previously used  Laughing.

All I need now is a new boom as I bent the last one with the back of my helmet today.....Undecided

Pittwater, TAS, AU. Isonic 2015 87, Volt 2 32cm and Reflex 6 6.2.

Great afternoon sail at Pittwater. Pitty the tide was going out so low because we had the wind and it was pretty windy at times. Well done to Ferg, Jock and Al, you guys were going for it in some pretty hairy conditions. Water wasnt too choppy out there today. First sail on the 87 in a few months, nice to be back on it. Was a bit of a day of disasters and the curse of PW returned today. Idiot me went out and forgot to tighten the fin screws and lost a good fin, board got a ding on the rail when the board and sail went flying 20 metres down wind, also broke a batten. Fergus ruined his boom with his head and is very lucky he had a helmet on or he would be in hospital now. He also broke 2 battens. Pretty sure thats the fastest I have done there out in middle and not on the causeway.
