My first go at this spot. We had an early knockoff at work so off exploring I went. Had a look at Lucky Bay which I have sailed before but the tide was still to low. Wandered around to the Entrance had a quick look about then rigged up.
I had a good sail. Nailed a few gybes which I haven't done for a while in the middle of the session then fluffed all of the later ones.
There are a few little hazards around the place.
- Razor fish, not to many but enough to keep an eye out for.
- Tape weed, a weedy fin does a good job on everything apart from the big clumps in the middle of the channel. Hitting one of the clumps nearly threw me over the handlebars. A bit hard to see when looking into the sun.
- Rocks, there are a couple of small areas in the Western side but clear sand with a couple of scattered Razors. Should be no problem for peolpe that can gybe well.
