First outing with slalom gear and first as an Illawarra Speedster. spent most of the time adjusting footstraps and harness lines. Naish SP95. Loft 6.3 Blade, Flying Objects Weed 300. Great to meet some of the team with a fun first sail !!

Might have to chop 2 inches off this fin for Primbee.

Primbee, NSW, AU     I was feeling comfortable from 11 to 12 then the wind went round to the SE and went up to 30kts

changed down to wave gear but still out of control especially out in the middle, super choppy.

Did not recognize the Nudist when I first arrived, looked like a kiter, that old caravan has to go to the tip.

                                Tabou 95l Rocket  NP 5.8 Evo6    Tabou 76l 3S  Loft 4.7 wave   [only one GT-31]

Primbee, NSW, AU SSW to SSE up to 30 knots or so.

Started pretty early but the wind was a bit patchy. One or two nice runs behind the jetty but generally it was hard to find any smooth water. Good to see Nudist out with a new board and (almost) new sailSmile. Went in for lunch just as the wind picked up, so changed down a sail size and was back out after the sandwiches. Great to meet "newbie" Jetlag and with just the right amount of pressure Eckas thought that the arvo belonged to windsurfing - good decision mate. Both guys looked good on  the water , which was chopping up a bit - very hard to gybe on the outside. At afternoon break added a bit of downhaul to the new 5.6m and plugged in a smaller fin. This combo felt very good, but started to cramp up so pulled the pin. It was a good day to be on the water. Love the board!!!

A great session after work, strong but a bit choppy and then gusty later as it swung a bit SE. The last few runs the wind went back to the S but by then I'd had enough. Thanks to Nick Nelson too for the new downhaul rope.

Great to see strong southerly conditions again. The small wave sail was comfortable in the choppy conditions but slightly underdone in the bear offs. Quite a good speedsters turn out today, looks like tomorrow has some potential too hopefully.

Short sail into the night, came in when it was too dark to see the chop. Very gusty 0-20 kts SSE-SSW.

Yeah Larko that was me. I remember you from back then. I've only had wave sailing kit for the last 20 years. Fun to get back on something fast. Could've done with my old speed plank today, but happy for a first outing. Might see you down here some day ?
