Peel Inlet, WA, AU F2 B&J 85L, 5.8 Wave sail, 21cm Delta.

First sail at Liptons for several years. Thanks to Mike for the text, and Pas for the local knowledge. Had a pleasant sail learning my way around. I didn’t go far enough down wind from Point Grey when starting out so I had a few anxious moments getting across to the deeper water. Nice and glassy can mean very shallow it seems. Nice to see all the familiar faces out for a run. All up a good day out on the water.

Coodanup, WA, AU One of those days .I was tired and very clumsy.Fell off the board in every direction.Sailed like a wood duck and the only reason I did not get hurt was the lack of speed.

Saw some other sailors going like the clappers.High point was a dolphin who kept company with me for a bit.

fab session at Liptons, gusty as usual, but beatiful flat water, easy peasy going fast there, but I probably got the best of the middle session compared to a few of the boyz, for once I was on the run getting the best gusts while they were missing out?  Mistral Speed 95, TR9 6.3m, Pepeweed 22/48

                         Peal inlet point Gray wa

A fun sail over the point gray shalows, some gusty wind blowing from here and there made things

 a bit interesting.     Cool

Very late sail to get rid of a serious amount of pent up aggression from work, unfortunately working out the the workshop all this week with  cool days in the low forties and the hot days +50ºC the body was extremely fatuigued.

Nice secoond session on the SS, still sussing it out, gybes real nice, just got to learn how to set it up correctly. Got a few noiice squirts but mainly in the wrong place at the wrong time (the middle of the chanel) when the good gusts hit.

The mission was successful got rid of most of the pissedoffedness out of the system so now I can have a lovely night with my Chickybabe.

Hopefully I can get a sail tomorow before going to catch another Fringe show with my beloved.

Had to try my new 19cm, 55d, endgrain palm, carbon and stainless weedy. So I plugged that into the 48cm board with the 5.8 koncept

More Pt Grey fun, with hardie, fin, sammy some nanna dudes and a couple of blowins, and Elmo after we came in.

Think Elmo's lost his curse cause the wind seemed to pick up quite a bit once he was out, Strop was also flying out there, think he'll have some good numbers.

Some smoooth, but too shallow to safely get into, had to make do with small ripples.

Wind had a tad too much south in it, so wind became very flukey apon entering the flatter stuff in the Pt Grey windshadow. However part of the Pt Grey turbalance was some interesting gusts right on the dge of the smooth. I think Joe caught a big one of these today, and Lunny got one for his 42kt PB the other day.

I couldn't seem to time one today on my downwind runs, but I got a few that had me tailwalking in my alpha attempts, guess I should have abandoned the alpha and gone downwind instead.

Went all the way into the little bay over the other side to get upwind, and got tangled up in a fishing line. thought I cleared it, but the return leg felt very slow and draggy. Thought some weed may have got under the nose of the new fin, but it was only fishing line, about 500m of it. Took me ages to wind it up so I could bury it, board went much better after that!

Gotta rush post more later including what happens next...

Today was threatening to be a return to normal transmission. There was a sea breeze. Wazzabsent had once again managed to have ' limb issues' and surprised no one when yet another limb was threatening to fall off. Honestly, if he was a tree you would cut him down for firewood, lest you be hit by one of his deciduous  limbs.

I hit the warm soup just after Pepe and before the Pinna onslaught. Adrian closely followed by Jeff were the advance guard. The Birdman impressed me with his effort to put a hole in the estuary. This may have been a result of making Mr Whippy seem like Steven Segal in the the hard man stakes with his on shore costume choices. Still he did get all his stuff on the right way around.

Myself, I had a cunning plan. I would go out on the party barge, deliberately underpowered and when the sea breeze filled, I would swap down to a smaller board. (Party Barge =1995 Xantos310=> Xantos is a  Greek  "Party" island)

First fail of the day right there.
I spent the first hour stuck in Tugs hole. And never really got powered up all before the fruit of my loins required the usual inordinate amount of my time.
Second fail was a gybe on the big girl. I had been trying to power side around when I got way too enthusiastic. Having introduced the fin to the lower atmosphere I found that the board did not track as I wished and no amount of mast foot pressure was going to save this one. Hello handlebars.
But having said that the barge is still lots of fun even if the 6.6 sail combo was hopeless.

I worked my way up to Wazza's wonderland of weed and shallow water around the back of Boundary Island. The usual amount of poor judgement followed. I hope in my next life I am not reincarnated as a fin.

Or a crab. Having delivered the sage advice to Birdman that the Wokkers had done the job and cleaned out the crabs, I got nipped more times today than I have in the last month combined. One decent sized blighter was intent on having a feed. I was mucking around with a different camera setting and the sod kept following me when I moved.

I digress.Again...Unfortunately just as things were getting interesting wind wise I had to bail with a very long run straight back to camp from Boundary Island in one hit. I ploughed through a few Pinnas on the way, Windybosslady and Ricey were clever enough to stay well clear. Though I didnt see what happend to them when confronted by my wake.

At this point I would have liked to have swapped out to the little Missy but parental responsibility got in the way. Maybe next time. Top Ten Fangy Day regardless.Laughing

The video has been slowed down 100 times to frame by frame. In real time its all over in a blink. I cant figure out why putting a Delta into the air causes so much of a problem. After all it works for jets ok...Undecided

And thanks for the guesses. The prize goes to Fin. Mr Gun was close - I think the bottom was close, but I bounced. Hardpole - that just doesnt bear thinking about...

Basil you definitely made the right decision to go with the 5.7. I was pretty sure one of us would be right. I was wishing I had rigged smaller. Could have been a top session if I could have held onto more gybes.

Firie them rello's of yours are one set of lucky buggers. I can't imagine how blessed they feel to see you and the Love Palace parked on the front lawn when they wake each morning. 😛😛 And don't worry today's sea breeze is due to arrive there some time in late March.💨 On the bright side all those holes in your tootsies should be healed by then...😄😄

Fang if it wasn't for Chris I think they'd fire bomb the Love Palace. No more black sludge tootsie like new, finially. You have this area misunderstood, it's paradise Yell
