Nice to be back on the water. NO, it was amazing to be back. It been over 5 weeks since my last sail.
This blasted broken big toe has kept me away. finished work early and with no kids to worry about headed down to the river.
Wind was right for a 7.0 when I got there but with it being so long and having a purple toe to deal with I went the 6.2.
A tad nervous when it was time to hit the water but that was knocked out of me pretty quick as I hooked in and got my feet in the straps. AWESOME.
Spent the next few hours zipping around. Sailing was no problem but gybing was a bit of an issue. didn't want to hit the toe.
Thats a river Nm pb. Lined up for a couple of attempts at it but each time I would sail into a big hole. That one was an afterthought that I just went with. It was a bumpy ride and I was spent by the end of it. So with the wind getting stonger I headed in.
Windsurfing is the best. Home last night and my whole body ached. Nice feeling means I've been sailing.
