Building NE that never got to expectations (very gusty on/off) but still good fun on the big gear and the neew board worked a treat. the tail cutout (torro tail) allows the board to ride higher giving a very smooth ride and great accelerations.

Today started early.... very early. My lovely daugther woke me up at 3:00 AM, with coffee so we could get to the olympic equestrian centre for her best horse jumping day yet!

Then, by 5:00PM I was officially off duty, and allowed to go to Kyeemagh, NSW, AU. It's been ages since I have sailed here!

Very gusty, with the road/old radar complex causing a 90 degree wind shift off-shore at the beach, with gusts down the runway offshore as well!

I had a chat with Remi just before I went for a sail, and said: "I just hope I can get this 90L board planning!" Well, that wasn't a problem as I planed every run, just not the entire time. Great fun out on the 90L iSonic, with tiny 32cm VMAX and TRX 7.7 (Awesome sail!).

So fantastic to spend the day hanging out with the SP crew. Tony, MT, Craig Cole, Gav, Dezza. Nice to meet Glenn Merit and stoked to see my teamies Craig, Artur, George all make the trip.

As for the wind ....Should've rigged the 7.3. Was never fully stacked with the 6.6. I thought it was going to come through more. The wind seemed NNE around 16-24. Never managed to line up a solid gust as I came in for a turn, but had a great time though. Gee that tight chop out the back was tricky to gybe in... not big, just messy.

i97/ Koncept 6.2/ MXR WS26 - 50 deg.

Also used the TR9 6.6 and  JP69 for a few runs.

Hard day wind very gusty and chop. Spent most of the time doing up and down and trying to practice jibes, unfortunately the good ones in the flat came out too wide, still good fun.

New board in sinister black looks the business there Remi. Like the big X.

Must have hooked some good gusts to make the most of a flukey NEaster.

Wish I was there. Well anywhere on the water would have been good.

Great effort for you guys to venture down our way. Glad the breeze kicked in and I'm also glad that it's not just me who finds gybing in the outer SP chop a challenging experience.
