Sanctuary Point, NSW, AU -  Exocet Warp 130, Select Weed XL, NP Mardi Gras 7.3

Another cracker of a day on the water with GB crew. Opted for the bigger board and sail today.

Was pushing to go further than yesterday and got there in end but my hands aren't happy.

Really happy with the NP Mardi Gras 7.3 very forgiving and easy to handle for a big sail.

Futura 101 / R3 7.0 / Choco weed 28

New boom has breathed a new life into my old 7.0 Reflex 3. Don't know how but everything clicked today.

Well and truly the fastest on the old Futura as well.

Close to 18 other windsurfers out today. Bloody great day for March.

Falcon 121, OD7.8, tribal 39, then Falcon 99, OD 6.2, 27

Looked like a day for the big gear after surfing all the different wind forecasts trying to pick what to put in the car, so tied the big falcon onto the roof, and threw in the middle falcon to be safe and hit SP nice and early to make sure I got a carpark. So early I was first there and ready to roll just after 11.30. Barks from DD's arrived and it was falcon fiesta out on the water for an hour.

Then the captain arrived and held up his 6.4 card at me, so I knew to get off the water immediately so as to maintain compliance with the team rules on girls sail size. Rigged up the 6.2 and out again and it was a bit up and down, but great to be out for a bit of a cruise around in the sunshine. Powersloshin from DD's and I remarked on how quiet it was in the rigging area then we realised Craig Cole was not in attendance today. I was hearing funny voices in my head and on my mobile phone messages about straight front leg so  practised that and tried to follow the captains example from the photos from yesterday. As I was packing up to leave Keef came to let me know that it was just getting good out there :(

However there was quite a bit of board sitting going on though when I drove off...heres Keef, Tony Polony and Barks

No cams,a waist harness and a Starboard Flair freestyle board, all that freestyle practice has paid off. Lucky I couldn't get there earlier when the wind was stronger Polony, would have kicked your butt tooSurprised

Cracker of a distance Brenden!

Not sure if NP called their H2 that name though...

A nice couple of PBs Dezza that clearly were aided by the hot chippies!

We were watching the Captain passing his wisdom to the guy trying to learn to beach start. That's all... :-)

TP, I think its the chicken salt from the hot chips, just like magic dust to give a kicker to go and bust out a PB. I had the lucky chip today, thankyou for sharing

Excellent fun at the Gustbusters hang out today.

The Falcons were out early and Dezza was smoking on the big kit. Well done on the PBs Dezza.

Nice distance Brendan. You were also cranking in the jibe department.

TonyP, Keef and Mat were flying as usual plus a whole bunch of others having a blast.

Powersloshin was still going strong after a boom clamp malfunction and I wonder if he has returned before dark? Or is he still out there?

big team turn out today, 8 posting scores so far

Tricky, did you see the sharks at Gerroa today??? I heard they were monster sized

Akim, you mustve cooked with gas seeing as you were only rigging up when I was heading home, 51 clicks and a 31 on the dial !! Surprised Your arms must be hanging off their tendons sailing a 6.0 after spending all summer on that 4.4, nice work on the 31 and taking us all out bar TP who was fired up

Thanks Dez,great PB's but sorry I took your beans.I'll go get the other 3 tomorrow and go you halvesYell

KK(kaptain keef) is very kreative, but CA (Captain Ark) in speed sailing has a better ring to it.

See you all tomorrow, Might try cams, better get there early like Keef and allow a couple of hours for rigging.

Congrats on the PBs Dezza. That's a great Hr.

Nice distance Brendon.

Well, I played it safe today and stayed local. The forecst was a little too iffy to warrent a 2.5 hour drive each way. Glad you all got a nice day on the water.
