Johno (4871km):  Smithton, TAS, AU Nice midweek sail with Perks and Cookie tried for a NM today but a bit scary looking into the sun and hard to see the bottom. I went to a different spot to Perks and Cookie for a bit of an explore right up the Eastern part of the Duck river channels had to walk about 1 km though and not that brilliant as the wind eased off. Ended up last run of the day back on the main run hit the bottom at around 30kts massive catupult broke mast, bent boom and put a small tear in my new 5.4 Koncept. Thanks to the boys for the tow back across the channel I would be still swimming.
