Light wind fun with Shane and then Cliff joined us. Followed by a natter on the shore with Shane and Morts, admiring Morts new board. Looks great.

Good work in the Albany sector Evets and Shane. Up here at Headquarters there's less blow than you'd get at a Plymouth Brethren knees-up.

Nope Frown From what I can gather from the not particularly helpful doc I saw I've strained an intercostal or two. Was tempted to go for a sail today so tried a test by grabbing the corner of a wall & putting body weight on the affected side, could feel it pinching straight away.

In better news had to make a quick trip to Perth during the week & on my way out thought I'd "have a browse" at a few of the shops, almost guaranteed the CC will take a hit doing that! Ended up with an 06 85l Sonic & thanks to Evets I've got a nice little fin to go with it, thinking it may be a good starter GPS combo for me with the Koncept.

Was good to catch up with Evets, Shane & Cliff & pick their brains for a bit after their sail.

Mort - when I joined the GPSTC I bought an 85L Sonic as my token effort toward speed too (now an iSonic and 3 Mistrals later...). Sonics were quite popular in those days (precursor of the iSonic). They go very well with Koncepts.  Sonics are having quite a resurgence as a freerace board. Stroppo and Sammy are blasting around on theirs. Snake has always loved his. I might have to get mine out of mothballs and give it a go again. I kept it because I loved it. My top 2 hours are still with that board.

Wishing you a quick recovery so you can have fun on that board.
