Sherman Island, CA

PD SL 128 and PD SL 115, LB 9.6, 8.6 and 7.8, F-HOT 46 S2, F-HOT 42 RS3, Z-fins SL 39 S-

Started with big gear in the morning with 10 knots of wind. LB 9.6 is da powerhouse for sure. Wind picked up to 15-20 and I decided to stay on 9.6 sail and big board just to see how far will it go. It didn't go very far. Broke mast extension and ended up with 30 minutes swim. Felt like a triathlon; sail, swim, walk...

Rigged LB 8.6 and continue sailing on PD SL 128 with F-HOT 46 S2 fin. Very balanced combo. This was really enjoyable.

Than switched to PD SL 115 and LB 8.6 with F-HOT RS3 42cm fin, also very nice combo.

Wind picked up to 20-24 knots in the afternoon and PD SL 115 with LB 7.8 and Z-fins SL S- 39 was the weapon of choice. This was also great combo.

All in all, lots of sailing, 170 minutes of sailing in total and 30 minutes of swimming, not a bad day Tongue out

Boro, good thing you are in shape, otherwise your day might have been tiring Smile. Great numbers, as usual!

Sorry no backup from up North. Roo is in Europe and conditions the last few days have been marginal enough that I left the Gorge and am home in Corvallis for a while. I'm working on a couple of the Hood River locals to get them to sign up for GPSTC so hopefully the chance of having a backup should increase.

Just starting to feel like getting back into it. Ten sessions so far this year, not a great start, plus just got my new sails and sorting out the trim....it should get better from now on...not quite ready to get into one hour attempt just yet, but getting there Wink

Hope wind returnes to the Gorge soon...

Boris, Sorry to hear about broken mast extention. Once I broke my boom and ended up walking-swiming for a mile.
