Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU

JP 112 + 19 Delta + 7.1 Gun Sail

I can type my post now that my fingers have thawed out after this mornings efforts, the body was nice and warm but my fingers, bugger me.  I got to use my new board today, thanks Wayno it felt great.  Rigged up at Peely as it was blowing a bit more to the west, got out there and ......... WRONG!!!! It went around to the SW 10-18 knots and then dropped right off as I was trying to get back to the car park which made for some fun.  The water was quite flat partially as there was little wind which also meant I was under powered.  Out with Byron and saw a couple of KA sails from Buff as I was on my way in also passing The Salty Pom (poor bloke launched from Peely with no wind).

Canton Beach, NSW, AU midday arrival  - saw Pugs, Old Pete & Larko all doing well so rigged the 7.3 GPS with JP 108 and 31cm weedie. Never got much of the wind they had earlier. Nothing great to report really.

Talked Bruce into coming out, bet he was sorry he did, a few more hardy souls joined us for a short session of SW 8-12 knots if that. The wise ones stayed onshore and kept warm. Not as cold as yesterday as the wind chill was not as bad.

Good work Troy, glad you got a sail on the 112L, I am still to get my "new" 108 in any sort of breeze to see how it really goes. Nice going Pugs and Pete, pity you used up all the wind early.

Bruce is a bit worried that Muzza is taking his fashion sense, if you call wearing a beanie and shorts "fashion".

Ah, so that was mr Pickles and Mark I could see up the lake.  I'd heard Mark was coming down (only 24hrs too late).  I made certain I didn't fall in.  It wasn't the water temp, it was the wind chill after the fact.

To top it off, I left my fin bolts on the grass, so after driving home which took half hour, I had to go all the way back to the windless lake to get them! Gurrrr! Nice sunset though! ;)
