First sail in nearly 2 months, good to blow the cobwebs out finally. CA58, 6.5 Ezzy Lion, 15-20kNts with angry chop. Got excited and burnt myself out on the high tide, then had nothing in the tank for when the water flattened out. Hands are really lacking grip strength, need more TOW.
I'm guessing my feeble attempt won't cut the mustard given you northerners have a GI trip on the cards. Wish I was up there.

2819 days ago Sailed with 'Dan' for a short while then Peter for a short while as the wind was dropping out.
Overcast and squally when I arrived then the squalls went away but wind never picked up to the forecast.
Hoping my mate Billy gets better soon....while the wind is up at least.!

2819 days ago Port Douglas, QLD, AU It turned out to be a very good afternoon at Four Mile. Rick snuck out for a quick sail - Ed and I did about 3 hours. For me I immediately cursed the fact that I left my big isonic 133 at home with my big 8.2m North sail. AtomiQ 120 and my Gaastra Savage 7.8m In the first hour I kept letting off the downhaul and, eventually, the wind kicked up a couple of knots and the fun began. Ed and I did a bit of racing, which was fun. The tides were good and we enjoyed a steady 18 knots. I had my biggest fin, 44cm Maui - which I call the paddlepop. When the wind blew up I would have been better on my 41cm slalom. Lots of nice runs on the way out and the way in - dodging kites. Ed was doing his thing with his 117 isonic and 7.7m Neil Pryde. A really enjoyable session. And I have smashed my distance travelled by 10 kms I think. Still a bit of a way to go to get my 90kms but I am being encouraged to do longer runs. Hope everyone else got out and amongst it.

2819 days ago 1 categories Port Douglas, QLD, AU Had a pleseant couple of hrs blasting around with Rick and Andrew on big gear..117 Isonic 7.7m Niel Pryde rig fully pumped, 46 select fin..Nothing too sesious but all good fun..wind was ok and water flatter than usual..Was thinking of jumping on small board in the second half ,but walking up to the car park to get it was all to much effort at the time...Big Board was handling good andi i was only playing anyway...Had a few good runs with rick in the first half..And put some preasure on Andrew in the second half when the wind picked up a knot or two..Went home happy but not shagged.. Cheers Ed..

Very underdone in a quickly fading breeze. Nice to get out although hose down after was a bit fresh.
