Port Douglas, QLD, AU, lots of wind today, rigged my 7.8m and cranked it down, should have brought my 7.2m - isonic 133.  A few kites out there but they didn't last long.  Would have been a great afternoon for Ed, but he shagged himself out playing dirtbikes.  I sailed for a bit more than an hour.  Rough and windy.  Tried a smaller fin, the isonic has a fin range of 40-56cm and a sail range of 6.5 to 10.5.  So I had this freeride select fin with a bit of a curve in it.  46cm and in the wind it was pretty smooth - getting heaps of lift.  Broke the nose on my Atomiq the other day - another of Ed's excellent nose jobs is in order.  Ordered a Unifiber nose protector pad - hopefully that should stop me smashing this green board around.  My isonic has one and it is excellent.  The wind today was much more than I anticipated - the sun was out, and life is good.  Thought I might have gone faster than that, had the GPS stuck to the boom - maybe if I put it back on my arm I might get some magic speed - board was gliding up on the fin, getting plenty of lift.

Good to see you on the water mate. Yer thought you should of had a 25kts on the dial. As you looked powered right up when me and Peter were watching. All good practice. 😃😃
