On the water at 10. More cruising on the Freeride, the board is so easy to sail and still quite fast - did a 27 NM heading to Majestics then turned around and did another 27 NM heading back to the car park (and the chop was a tougher angle coming back). Will be an awesome Leighton board.

Like to try it with one of Slowy's fast Tribal fins.

Great fun sail and good to see all the crew turning up as I was packing up.

Arrived in bright sunshine and relative warmth and got sucked in to wearing my 3/2 wetsuit instead of my 5/3 (didn't want to cook). Lots of people out having a ball in the first real wind in ages. Whoo hoo! I don't have to rig the big gear this time!

Of course the clouds came over just as I was about to hit the water (as usual) and I found my 5.7 a bit overdone. Went sideways a couple of times and got thoroughly wet. Had to waterstart for the first time in ages. Came in just as a big rain squall hit and the temperature plummeted to 13 degrees. I rapidly got so cold that I could not contemplate going out again. Derigged with numb hands which took 10 minutes in a hot shower to thaw out. I should have worn that 5/3!

Roll on summer. I have had enough of winter fronts and cold weather!

Good to see such a good turnout of Pinnaroos on a workday - JJ, Ken, Lunny, Tim, Ben. That bit of sunshine sucked all of us in!

For the people who couldn't get out today..... this might make you feel betterTongue out

Hmm that was somewhat a pile of poo! Bit hard to rig right when its 17-32kn at its most extreme. I think there was chop on top of the chop so yeah it was choppy. Oh and it was cold, gusty and rainy too. So thats it basically.

Glad some others enjoyed it though, maybe this old grump just got up on the wrong side of the bed this morning.

That was a tough but short day in the office. Started sunny enough but that all changed. Overpowered on the 6.4. No matter what trimming party tricks I tried nothing seemed to be comfortable in those varying conditions. Good to get out for blast but definately not a top 10 day.

Wasnt comfortable most of the time as the board and fin were too big. sail was also very twitchy maybe because of the on/off conditions. wind dropped off and everyone left. I stuck around hoping for the strong SW to come in as according to the forecast. It sure did! It seemed to be stronger than earlier and more constant.

might need to invest in a smaller board and fin for these types of days.

You got the best of it JJ. Clouds rolled in as I hit the water and the temperature plummeted.

Good to catch up with you again.

Lunny, it looks like you mastered the conditions but it certainly wasn't easy sailing out there today. Well done.

Cannonball, well done with the PB naughty. You even beat the nm king today. Great numbers all round in a very challenging session. Either you are fitter than the rest ofus or you will be really feeling it tonight. I know I am!

Ken, if you can get an alpha PB in those conditions you have gybing nailed! I was too overpowered to even go for any today. An equal best 2 sec for you too. Well done!

Yes, good to catch up Anita, albeit briefly.

The late afternoon session at Dutchies was major fun - the wind booted in and the waves got really interesting Laughing

Congrats Ken and Ben on the PBs.

Cheers Anita and JJ. Yes Anita the water got flatter as the wind direction changed making gybes a bit easier close to shore. The sun came out a bit too.Cool
