Stansbury, SA, AU WNW-NW-WNW gusty to 30knots at times

SXs 90, GPS 5.8, Choco 28 weedy

Got a call from Carl and did not hesitate getting to Stansbury. The lads were up for a final sail before returning home. Best wind for the long weekend. Tough wind but the spit was pretty flat and we found good speedSmile. Carl and Sam were fast, very fast and should have good speeds to report. Feeling goodSmile

Had a ball today. Wind was great but not quite the right direction. And tide was ok but never got super flat like it can. Great weekend and trip.  Good to finally get some wind in the end. :-).

Wow Sam...so close to forty! Cranking. Sounds like you boys got a good sail in.

Le'Bog was a very powered up 6.2m and heavy chop. Hard, hard work, but still good fun with some of the usual suspects. Alas my gps just wouldnt start today, it's given up after that dousing last month. Need to source a new timepiece now.

Glad to see you guys got a run today. Lake George was only 5-12 NW both Sat and Sun and today was driving home day. The lake is really full, the bottom track on the Beachport side of the spit is under water, but it is easy to get out to the spit at present, may not be soon if more water flows in. Had an interesting encounter with a 1.5m brown snake on Sunday, scared the shit out of me as it went between my legs. Good to get down there but unfortunately not good conditions, got on the water Sunday but couldn't get planing on the 136L with a 6.5 m

I can borrow a mate's GT32 for a while. Cheers for the hot tip Jimbob - I'll sniff out that watch. People seem to rate the Canmore, which, I think, is GSPTC-legit so I'll look into them as well.

Very tidy corner-of-the-day Carl, and you and Hoppy both havin 35kt+ days-out. Everyone got a nice crib-board. Where's the Yetti?

Finally SA sees some decent conditions.
