GT7.0, XFire102, VDelta27/MUFDelta22. Melville. Fun sail in the sun - even hints of a seabreeze....Was touching the botom with the 27, so changed to the 22 - touched a few times with that tooEmbarassed. Had the place to myself at times. Great sailing with all of my friends!

OP Gear todayLaughing

Safety Bay Club Day, 1st for the season.

Wind chill was right up there so it took a few hours to get motivated.

Didn't rig any of my gear as there was plenty laying around Laughing

There was a 6.0M T-bird rigged so I used that, thanks Bob & Bob.

Tried the proto type Severne Freeride/Freerace boards 95 & 105 and the 105 had a Severne proto type weed fin, about a 36cm.

It wasn't really windy enough for the 95 but the 105 was great.

The 105 gybes nice & sits flat in the chop, it cranked upwind, not sure if it was the board or the fin.

Downwind across the chop was amazing, safest feeling board I have ridden going off the wind over chopCool

I would like to spens a day on it on my home turf, I haven't sailed at SB for a while & the weed banks have moved & I wasn't going near them on borrowed gearSurprised

Nice 1 hour blast in choppy water chasing Lunny for a while, didn't get close to catching him today.

Good distance Sandy! !!

Didn't you stop to talk to all your friends?  😉

Annie, the distance was a surprise (and is my third highest). Most of it was inside the sandbar, so lots of gybes. A testament to how comfortable the Turbo GTs are is that I seem to be able to sail further with them without tiring too much.

I didn't need to stop to talk, as the voices in my head were keeping me company!
