Wellington Point, QLD, AU, Falcon 104, Loft 6.3 and a Viper fin 34cm. I did not have the fitness required for these choppy condition. One trip out and then rest for five min. After five or six runs I had had it. Surprised how much speed I got! Come on NE fifteen knots!

After sail work. Wind was blowing dogs of chains. Rigged at Wello and did a few runs. Best speeds in the 34s. Eric suggested the white knuckle ride over to Lota. Got halfway across in the footstraps and spun out. Managed to get it back uder control, but found it was easier to sail out of the footstraps. Gingerly sailed the rest of the distance and rehooked in once I got into the flat water. I was immediately going faster with some 36s. Moved the mast base back 50mm and tried again. First run I had 39 on the dial and then a 38. The last run was a 36 and I was getting tied. The storm was moving in so Eric and I decided to head back to Wello. The run back was easier pinching into the wind. The 2 sec rounded down to 38. Pretty happy with a new SE Qld PB. All the diehards were out from the Mob and BBC. Lots of fun, lots do it again soon.

Good to se you had a PB Shannon before you cut your Foot.  The mob all left Lota before the storm. It would have been an interesting trip back to Wello in that wind before storm.

Tony and Phil. We have been watching you both sailing about 3 PM and wondering which run was better today Marine Parade (KFC) or Train and this North or NE winds. Definitely if looks from distance that KFC had more winds. My only concern was about veryt shallow low tide conditions there. I did even try to sail from Train up to KFC but after catapul in 20cm water gave up. Next time I will try KFC with weedy fin maybe.

Sorry about your Dad , Glynn. My mother died week ago, so I know what do you feel. Cry

Vando, great speed today Cool

Thanks everyone and Peter sorry about your mum also.

Well done on the 5x Shannon and I hope your foots ok please consider wearing boots its hard to get use to them but now I don't even know they are on other than no cuts anymore, on the trip we did to Snipe Island I kicked my foot real hard on the fin but no damage with having boots on. One problem is shellgrit gets in them.

John and Vando well done on the top speeds.

Well done Mike on PBs again but it gets harder.
