Ian Wright (15854km): Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU Nice day Sailing at Budgie Lake (Buff Point) ,second time here after yesterday's forcast failure. Thanks to all the Budgie locals and Tibor for showing me the ropes and sharing the local knowledge. Fanatic Ray 102, P7 AC0 6.6 ,Delta 18. SS/W 15 to 20+ (Norah Head 20-25) knots. So much easier on the knees and body when the water is so smooth.Felt really comfortable and under control all the time. Got used to the Delta quickly and fells fine with several spinouts and no mishaps.. Looking forward to next time and maybe a bit more wind to see how much I can get out of this setup. Working my way down to the new Ezzy 5.5 Cheetah when it.s really windy. Can't wait😀😀😀😀😀😀

Pleasant surprise or not?! Nice little sutherly from Buffy. used my little 51cm wide board with the 6.7 race and 17cm delta. It was good but mainly because i want to learn to use the small board even though lately l would have been better off with a bigger board. However, it`s not all about the results...is it?

sboardcrazy (24291km): 15-20kts S -Buff Pt Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU- 6.4m Naish Bullit + 90ltre RS2 + 20 cm delta 1st powered up sail since ankle break. Played it safe with the larger slower board as I wasn't sure I would be able to sail the 79 falcon.Board PB for the RS2 ( 29.05 GPS) as I don't usually use it in over c 18-20kts. Made the footstraps larger so I'd come out of them if I fell off but it backfired and I got stuck in them gybing so after I made them a bit smaller. The sail wouldn't pop the cam on port gybe which made things difficult on the exit as I'm not strong enough to give it a big jolt. I kicked it occasionally. Tibor changed some cams and filed some later and got it rotating better but the boom batten has broken again so he's fixing that. Actually Mick drilled out the rivets so he could get the broken end out. It will be agreat if we can get it to work! Felt ok occasionally and got a few reasonable gybes on the other tack but sailing pretty average as unfit . Also I had trouble getting into the straps. I realised later that I was going rear strap first when I always used to go front strap first.. My next session should be easier.. Amazing what you forget after 6 months off. I left the gear and the sail flew into the fence because I hadn't secured it properly.. Thanks for saving it guys. My nickname is hoppy as I'm limping around on the shore.. Mind you Milsy put one board in the van and Mick the other.. this sore foot thing is a good lurk..may have to keep it for a few years.. Thanks for all your help guys! Lovely flatwater and the RS2 ate up any ripples..I wish the falcon was as comfortable..foot survived again inclduing a few heavy jump offs in shallow water..time for icing it and exercises... Pugs, Pete, Frothie , Mick , Milsy , Tibor , Ian , Wayne and Michael..maybe a few others..pretty amazing .It's almost November and I'm wearing a 3-4-5mm wettie and not getting hot!
