iS97, 7.0RBlade, 36 Tribal Sl - Lammermoor Beach, QLD, AU ESE 13-18kn

My GPS tells me it's been 2 months since I last sailed although it feels like a lifetime.  Lovely on the water but was spoilt by my harness unclipping almost every run.  Had to come in and tie it up with some rope.

Illawong Beach, Mackay QLD, AU

Epic afternoon of sailing. Hit the beach as the tide was coming in over the sandbank to do some speed runs in the shallows with the CA58, 25 Weedspeed, 6.5 Ezzy Lion. Incoming tide much rougher, so couldn't really nail flat water and gust at the same time. Tide came in and ended up with ugly chop, so perservered for a while then swapped to the old favourite 84L Naish Freeride, with 30FSW fin. Not an balanced combination, but board was friendlier in the conditions. As tide topped out started getting some good ramps at the Southern end and enjoying chucking the board into some agressive gybes.... Was burnt out after 2 hours, then Phil fronted up so after a rest, put in another 30 minutes of wavesailing before calling it quits. Pretty much shattered and requiring self medication with a cold beer.

Nice afternoon sesh, mostly on the Sp95, with a little play on th eold 105 exciteride (which was actually not too exciting after the slalom board).

+Ka Koyote 5.9 + talon34, was pretty lumpy early on but wind died off as the seas state tidied up.

Snags, welcome back mate. I hope those reno's have come a long way !!! In fact, well done to all who got out his weekend. Cloud cover is slowly killing the wind here in Cairns.

Good to see you back on deck snags. How's the sailing fitness?

You'd swear you lads were following each other. That's some nice close numbers...apart from Snag's running out of puff early in the km count Wink

Cheers Billy.  Troy, fitness not too bad as building has kept me in prime physical condition - it's just the multitude of beers after finishing that keeps the in-built weight jacket at a maximum Wink  Nice sesh too and apart from the km's we're pretty close on the numbers.

Ha franga although I believe, as you personally know first hand, you have to be in the water to displace it, not on it 😉  hope you're well too

Cmon Snags, at the speed you travel, that's called displacement speed. 😄
