Very nice arvo at Peelie! Lots of people as well of course! All of them smiling what it is all about really!

Used the 6.7 + 90L =19Delta....should have used the 7m and a small weedy with a bit more lift. Not complaining though as it was very sweet!

FF79 and TR9 6.6m - First NE of the season down at Budgie.

I wanted to try for an hour but was way underdone on the 6.6m so concentrated a bit on alphas instead. Worked out well.

Maybe not as big as promis3,7m, 28 weedie.ed but certainly a nice arvo. Took big board & sail as didn't look much but it felt as though 6.6 & smaller board would have been the go/ All the world was there except the ones who weren't.

RS3, 7m, 28 weedie.

JP 92 KAR 7.1 Delta 20

Felt crap on the water today and struggled. Super fatiged, no grip strength and didnt attempt a gybe. Rig felt horrible and the delta was letting go on almost every run. I will be happy to try another alternative fin cause Im ready to give up these delta's. Anyway, good to be back at Budgie and catch up with everyone and, there is always next time....

can't post stats but will write my epic Wink while I can remember.

After getting up at 4.20 am and a 6hr drive I'd planned to snooze before I sailed but the locals said it would only get stronger so dragged my eyeballs out and rigged..zzz

Near the ramp was the type of chop you get in Budgy flats in a big blow so I rigged the 4.2m revo and 68ltre acid wave board. I wasn't looking forward to sailing a waveboard again but it was great in the gusts.

The  waveboad was so  smooth in the chop .Took it easy and stopped and turned the board around out in the chop ( waist deep in the shallows)

Did get one gybe in the chop and 2 nice planing gybes in behind the jetty.

Best I've done since I got back into it.Makes a difference with decent wind and a small wavesail!

I then realized they had flats like Budgy so rigged the 5m OD and 79 falcon with 20delta.

Took me about 5 'tacks' to get to the top.Just stayed in the flats and turned the board around.Ugh the weed and mud were worse than Budgy!

1st run I had trouble bearing off as it was so broad! 1st run didn't feel that fast or powered up but got 33.55kts which is good for me!

Bugger..Danny the photographer got sick of waiting and missed me!

The wind angle changed and I couldn't get over 31 in the other 2 runs plus you were forced out into the small chop more which I wasn't  keen on with the delta.Bring on the Bp kestrels..they'd be great for here..

Buggered but went back out for one run for the camera on the 68ltre and 5m..So stuffed could hardly waterstart.źzzz

So nice to have time to dry the gear and not have to race home.

Did a massive stack- I was coming in too fast as usual and bailed out..Did a triple corkscrew along the top of the water and the board and rig ended up 50m away stuck in weed. Wish someone had got it on  camera!

Great to finally meet Dezza.Wish I'd had more time on the shore to yack.

Nice to meet  Keith and the locals plus blowins..brain dead now..Luckily its only a 2 min drive to the caravan park.

Windmeter got 22 - 28kts off the jetty.Gusts would have  been more.Apparently thats normal..

Wish we got this wind at Budgy!

Looking at the tracks I can see why it was so easy to go fast .I don't usually get such a long braod bearaway especially in good wind! I was too stuffed to bother trying any gybes..

Congratulations Andrew! I can only dream of an alpha like that!

Bugger Byron..I got the optometrist to drill a hole in one arm of my sunnies.I then tied a glass tie to it with fishing line. That way even if they fly off you don't lose them.

😊 I'm glad my acrobatics weren't wasted.....

Yesterday the mast hit me in the eyebrow when I was struggling to beachstart in the overpowering wind. It was pretty hard and my first worry was I'd broken my $540 prescription sunnies on there first use..Surprised No still ok..no blood,ok continue..

Today I looked in the mirror and it looks like I've applied a band of crimson / purple eyeshadow in the crease of my eye..bruised! Lucky I didnt do more damage..I reckon those drop down visors on the Gaths would come in handy at times ( like the time I smashed half my tooth off.Undecided
