Melville Beach, WA, AU

Wasn't expecting to sail today so pleasantly surprised to get out late and find some nice gust about. Found the 7.8 straight up a handfull so in I came, readjsuted abit of trim, including a smaller fin and out I went for a fun short blast before the huey decided to move on. feeling warm in boardies is always a nice thing. Fastest 2s for this combo so quite happy with the speed.

Pelican Point, WA, AU 7.5 Koncept 117 Futura 42 RTR. Quick burn after work. Wind lulled as soon as I got in, spent 20 minutes sub planing, eventually wind came back. Trying the new board today; it feels very wide at 77.5 cm. Gybing felt very differnt but I'll get used to it. Looking forward to having better wind and session on it.

Albany! First day of a family holiday and scored some decent wind. Love this spot! Just need a bit more water so I can do a full Nm. The weed felt a bit draggy also. Wishing I brought speeeed gear!

I really like this spot, its sort of somewhere in between Lake George and Safety Bay

Good to meet Shane, Steve and Jeremy (one other, sorry I didn't get your name). Thanks for the tips on how to sail this spot.

Port Beach, WA, AU. Great sail with Ado and Craig. Wind was a nice 17-20 and no weed to be seen. Did a fun downwinder to Dutchies and back. Really nice hour and a quarter's sailing Cool GPS was at home.

Watermans groundhog day, short of time so stayed local. Had a lot of fun, only me and a few swimmers and kites.

Saw a very small shark, thought it was weed as it was browny colored and then as got close it took off, it was more scared than me. Probably about 1.5m. I imagine it was some sort of reefy. A quick thinker would have dived onto it and then sailedback to the beach holding it in one hand but I only thought of that later. First shark sighting this century for me.

A tourist on the beach took some photos and emailed them to me. Very nice of her to offer.

Great to meet you Chris, looked like you were having fun & you got some nice numbers.

Tomorrow looks like the wind is going to swing South West & is generally a bit more gusty but tide may be higher as barometric pressure falls. Could try where we sailed today today or at the other end of the harbour. Go a bit over 3kms down Quaranup Rd & after the S bend road sign look for a little left turn off onto the beach. You can find some flat water out at the start of the weed just keep an eye out for weedburgs.
