Kenny (16394km): Coodanup, WA, AU A nice way to end the year. first time to tvisit coodanup of which Ive heard about so much. the wind didnt fully come in but I was able to take a tour of the scenic nature. Went up wind all the way to Channel island. Went for the downwind NM but by that time the wind had dropped a bit. Happy to just scrape by a NM PB though. Thank you Anita for showing me how to navigate the location and in general being an awesome captain since I joined the team this year. I hope you got the number 1 female in GPSTC for 2016. Happy new year all. 5.5 tr7, 97 isonic, 21 Delta slalom
Windxtasy (13853km): Coodanup, WA, AU M91, 5.4K, 23 Pepeweed Knowing that the fair King of Fangyland was away, the Queen of Pinnaroo and her valiant knight Ken decided to investigate King Fangys lands, to see if flat water could still be found despite rumours of widespread crop failure. Not only was there crop failure but very low water levels also. There were acres of ripples and patches of mirror smooth, but King Fangy had boobytrapped his estates and these mirages of hopefulness concealed deadly shallows and vicious weedbergs dotted with feasting vultures. Careful surveillance revealed these traps and the Queen of Pinnaroo went east to deeper waters. Setting out in fair winds of 18 knots the Queen and her knight were soon spotted by King Fangy's henchman Fin, who cast his magic spells and incantations confounding the Queen's gybes and causing the fair winds to fade away. Henchman Fin then left the Queen and Ken to wallow in light wind while he made good his escape. Translation: My mission today was an hour. Coodanup has previously been the location of my best hours so I headed there again, despite a low tide and poor weed growth. Wind was 18 knots when we set out but dropped later to around 15. That might have still allowed a decent hour except that my gybing today was woeful. Thanks Ken for the company and it was nice to briefly see Fin zooming past
Jeff (13393km): Watermans - nice little cruise around in the gap between new years preparations. Great way to close of the year ! A few swimmers but noone else around. |
