Probably the last sail for the week as tomorrow's forecast is not good. But once again Lake George didn't let us down with 20-25 SE and was able to have a couple of runs on the spit where it was pretty flat, the southern side of the spit got pretty choppy. Sailed the 5.2 Hellcat on Exercet 58. Has been a good week except Stotty had to go home early with a bad eye infection that needed attention. Am pretty buggered now but worth it.

F2sxs 90, GPS5.8, Choco weedy

It was great fun today, had the whole bay to myself. Was sailing across the bay, starboard tack out on the bearaway and gybe by the second lease, then beat back to the pub on port tack. Thought the hour might have been better but the chop was fairly steep on the beat, happy with the NMSmile.Best sail for the year so far.

Hi Geoff,

whats your take on LG re Cockies etc??. Jimbob has said the weed is growing but water still quite deep and no access to Cockies or 5 Mile??

Many thanks as we will be down in mid Feb.

Hoppy yeah that's one of the few times my numbers have counted, no one else could have sailed, nice pb mate Larko the southern lake is pretty full and gets choppy in strong winds, pretty good though up to about 20k, and there wouldn't be access to cockies. Driving past 5 mile it looks ok but I would take notice of what Jamie says as it may be difficult getting out, not sure why it wouldn't work though, alternatively work upwind from the spit and go between the islands, PJ was doing that today and he said the water over there was real flat. Or you could go out to the spit and run the north side in close, only a short flat section though, there were a few doing that today. The track out is easy but have to go over the sandhills behind 5 mile as water is still over the track Let us know when in Feb as there is a chance a couple of us may be coming back sometime in Feb foe a few days
