Severne Reflex 6, 7.0, Mistral 112, CL2 35. Went fore a larger fin, felt good. Too many sailors on the bank getting in the way....., not happy!

Nice to see you guys had a good sail.

Jay - just go around them. We need to start making safety the priority at Melville.

It's a family sailing spot - remember. :-)

I couldn't agree more Annie. I ended up getting out of the water in preference to running someone down, (which almost happened twice during the session). I'm just not that good….., I can't "just go around them" when doing 35 plus knots, heading straight down wind fully clenched.

Good call Anne....I had my wakeup call on Sunday. We should probably try to stick to the southern end of the run (though it's shallow and requires a short fin)...or just don't do down-winders when there's a crowd. Also freestylers on the sandbar don't help matters. We can't control everyone, so I guess we all just need to be a bit more aware and sensible....

We stopped going to Safety Bay on weekends because it was too dangerous for speed runs. Too much kiter traffic crossing our path.
