Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU                                     Warp 6,3 / JP 59 / kestrel 18        Really poor gear decision today

FF79 and TRX 6.3m and 20cm weed Lassacher. Two sails for the price of one. First a really patchy NW and then a cooler Southerly.

Had a big stack in an area of knee deep water, there were several sand banks only 2" or so under the surface. I called Byron over to show him the danger, and he discovered a six foot deep patch between the banks. Very strange indeed.

Lucky i left work early as it didn't last long but while it did it was heaven. Blue, clear water, no weed, bugger all surf & heaps of water over the banks made for a good time but a short time. RS3, 7m, 36 fin. Just little me & a couple of kiters. A pretty average session by objective standards, just so good to be back there on such a beautiful day.

Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU RS2, 7.0 OD - nice easy sail went out with the wrong fin 30cm deep weed speed and kept hitting the bottom. I only just got it off Greg and is the same as my 20 (getting old). I must say it handled really well with the bigger fin. Light Southerly came in which was nice, then died and was lucky to get back. Thanks for the chat..........

Valentine, NSW, AU

JP Slalom 92 KAR 6.3 SS32

Exhausting session with Paddo at Valo with 25 racing yacht's keeping us company. Super gusty 15-25kts in washing machine conditions with chest high swell. Pretty sure I dropped every gybe out in the middle. Just didnt have the energy at the end of any run to complete one. Easier to just drop the rig and water start to avoid injury. Was fortunate to avoid a bad wipeout whilst attempting the odd bearaway in between waves. Really happy with the speed but I took plenty of risks getting it.

Exocet RS2, maui TR11 6.6, BP18 kestral.

Not enough wind went out just as southerly came thru (missed the strong WNW ). 7m or 7.7 would have been the go.

still nice sail before going to work it was soooo much cooler in the water sailing so a good way to spend the morning.

I was wondering how you guys got such good stats from a light S..Mm early bird NW. How strong was it?

Hope someone can mark that area Andrew .It sounds nasty..Nice speed!

One day I'll see over 35kts on the dial..Undecided

Marmong had a solid 20 knots from about 3.30 until dusk. It was a nice breeze lifting heaps on port tack which set up huge ramps into the southerly swell. I was on my 6.2 wavesail and Tabou 3S 106 I wish I had my 5.7 but left it at home. Heaps of bearaways to be had between the waves due to the constantly lifting port tack. nicest southerly I've had in months.

Sounds challenging Jeff! Sounds how I felt at Coal on Tues except I wasn't game to even try ( ankle still iffy).

Sounds great Cluffy..I'll be glads when I trust the ankle enough to start trying to chop hop again. Not sure when that will be Undecided
