Inverloch, Vic.

Got a call from Ado that he wanted to check out Pooshooters at Inverloch. It was shaping up to be a classic Sandy Point speed day but I thought it would be a good adventure and a nice change.

Had a but of fun, but I most certainly would have done much higher speeds at Sandy Pt today.

Quite a few of the Invy crew out which was nice to see and chat with them.

The wind was WSW @ around 18-25 knots so I rigged the 5.4m Koncept on the assumption it would pick up a bit during the afternoon. At first there was very little speed to be had with all the banks too squre to the wind and the bearaways very rough and scary. We got some very brief peaks right out at the point but the bearaway took us into wind shadow. I had one good run (the best) on the Inner bank but it was very tricky to get into as it was very gusty wind shadow in the run in area. As the tide changed we tried a few different spots but the wind seemed to ease and I was having trouble getting the CA40 going, so I came in and switched to the JP53cm (70L) slalom. I had the 21cm Tribal weedpeed in it first, but it felt just a little underdone on the square reaches, so I came in and got the TimeMachine TM26, a fin I had not used for quite a while with all the weed around. I was reminded how sensational this fin is! Not long after this the wind picked up again and I need the CA40. It was too late as I was too stuffed. Not before I got over 36 knot 2 second on the slalom board though.

Got back to Sandy Point to find it had been WSW @ 30-35 knots all afternoon! Ahh well..................

CA40/JP-53(70L), 18cm/21cm Tribal/TM25, 2017 KA Koncept 5.4m

Swan Bay Vic

Wind SW 15-25kts.

Tide was too low when i first went out, therefore hard to not find the shallows.

Moose had been out and he pointed me in the right direction and said watch out for Banjo Sharks.

Anyway as the tide came in, i thought i had enough clearance over the banks then bang hit something! Board stopped, i kept going.
