Victoria Point, QLD, AU

Nice sail at VP this morning although a bit bumpy! Haven't sailed much this year and my fitness is telling me that !! Good local crew out for a weekday.

Gear used: Futura 104L, Gator 5.3 and 35 BP fin.

Not a lot of wind at first, so drifted to the top of the run on 105L board. Wind had a lot of east in it and struggled to even go off the wind in the top section. Everyone else headed over to the northern run , but as I am anti-social I stayed on the SE run. Luckly towards the end of the session the wind turned a bit to the south so I could have some of those magic NM runs to the end of the bank! Probably couldnt get anymore speed out of that 10 YO Carbon Art so a great session!!!

CB, Sailed with Sean at the Bank but did not see that my Batten was broken above my Boom...not sure how did happen but it changed the whole Sail dynamics. The Sail felt unstable in the big gust that came through over the Bank. Sailed on the Edge during a few runs..........

On the final home run I manage 2 stacks - hit my head on the mast (not to bad) , on the second jibe a bullet came through and ripped the boom of my hands. Struggled to water start as the Sail did not pop over due to the batten tension was gone --- lesson learned here.

Lake Cootharaba, QLD, AU

IS120, Avanti 8.4 & Boogie 48.

Numbers say it all - tough sailing - first 3 hrs were from midnght - was faunsailing under moonlight but once the moon dissapeared it was almost impossible and every little "splash" from somewhere other than me was a reminder of "lake night life".. Fell in a few times gybing - quickest water starts Ive done in a long time...

Then at 7am the rain came and any chance of distance went out the window - next time..

Wow awesome sessions Phil and Glynn!

OMG David you are a machine. Started at midnight! I can only imagine how far you would have sailed if it blew right through the night and day. Better luck next time...
