2602 days ago Great Fun sail at lilacs!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Went for an hour first thing this arvo, with the 48, 5.8 and 17cm 55 deltoid. I was convinced I was heading for a PB, until 10 minutes to go hit some thickish weed half way through a gybe and went over the front. Then after I'd sailed to the other side and gybed found my new front foot was no longer able to get in a strap. Looked down and discovered it was only attached at one end.
Not a lot of good like that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Found I could still sail, but it slowed me down a bit. A close check of the data seems to indicate it wouldn't have been a PB anyway. Flying over kilometers of flat water on the tail of the board feels really fast. But the thick weed slowed the gybe exist down a fair bit.
After the hour finished I changed to the 43cm board, and the wind backed off for the next hour or so. I came in just as it started to pick up again, best speed was last run.

Koncept 6.2, Sonic 56w + Delta 19, CA44 + Delta 17
The windsurfers outnumbered the kiters for a change today. Local crew Steve & Shane plus fellow Mobbers Mike, Alby, Hardie & Rob with a trifecta from CST as well in Chris, Penny & of course Strop at his 2nd local
Wind & tide didn't live up to the forecast which was a slight disappointment. Best wind came right at the end, just after 5 it booted up a fair bit. I was on the right gear at that stage, 6.2 + CA44 but felt a bit pooped & feel like I didn't quite take best advantage of it. 4 of my best 5 2sec & 4 of my 5x10 came in that 20 minutes of wind.
Still, a lot of good fun to be had in the sun with a great crew

2602 days ago Albany, WA, AU , isonic 76 , np h2 6.2 , Micheal custom weed fin . Awesome day on the water with a great crew. When the wind finally picked up I was totally knackered my last run was a little bit out of control stopping down northern end for a breather and a chat to Steve . Decided to go for another run but noticed the third panel in the sail had a rip in it so I called it a day . Thank you Steve for the loan of one of your gps's mine didn't want to turn on again 🤔

Fun session with the team plus Penny, Chris and Stroppo. Great to see everyone having fun, tide too low to be brilliant and overcast plus rain cooled things down.
Never felt quick today. Fun gybing the 45.

2601 days ago 1 categories Albany, WA, AU. CA52/GPS6.0/Delta17. Terrific day, well worth the drive. Great to be catch up with Mike, Joe, Alby, Steve, Jeremy, Shane, Chris, Penny & Glen (did I miss anyone?. Wind wasnt really epic, but still epic fun ! Wind picked up at the end and nabbed a 40... just. My FR920 watch was showing 39.8, so a pleasant surprise that the GT31 was a fraco more.
Big thanks to Strop for the loan of your extension

Reposted using Realspeed (what I normally use).
Lilacs with conditions not quite living up to the forecast and a 'ken low tide made things a bit interesting.
The word for the day was Hour so did my best, unfortunately thats not all that flash in the real world, dropped 4 gybes and got weeded up a bit as well.
After the hour tried the naughty run but once again found bugger all wind up there.
Had a lot of fun going back and forth for a change quite, surprised (and pleased) with my fitness.
Decided to get of the water early for the purely selfish motive of having a nice hot shower, seems my selfish actions brought in the wind as Hardz has just come back with another 40 on the dial.
Great day on the water, Nice to be warm again, Bloody weather Febuary and freezing in a steamer.
Good times, looking forwrd to tommorw morning.
Now it's time to get ready for a Curry

Just another day at Liptons! Not really, it was really good, tide was low, so it was very flat and long runs. Was having some nice runs over at point Grey. Looked good for the mile run from Ward point, but the wind dropped out half way through my only attemt. Had to pack up early but wish I had more time on the water. No other windsurfers around except Yoyo, who says he got a 37 and a half, and Gav who was using the darkside of the force today. Quite something to see miles of flat in the easterley. Think I missed the best of the wind too but fun all the same.
