Fun little sail, somewhere between yatching and speedsailing, some glassy patches of water at Point Grey, fun over thatCool.

Nice moderate wind cruise. Was light when I rigged so went with the big stuff again. 65cm board, 6.6koncept 29cm 45d weedy.

Slugger and Otts got out first, (nice hour PB Simon), I followed shortly after, then Morts, the fin and Hardie followed. Also joined by stroppo and saltynuts.

Found a small stretch of oily smooth at Pt Grey, the bear offs through it on Port were a bit longer than on Starboard. So not surprsing my fastest run was on Port.

Turned out a great session, bit light at start and finish, but I was planning 95% of the time, and the "World" came up without a struggle.

Really nice to get a taste of local smooth again, even if it was a tad short.

No wind in Albany so headed North for a bit of a play. Great to meet a few more of the Mob in Otts, Slugger & Fin Smile Also caught up with Shane as well as some of the Albany semi locals in Salty, Strop, Hards & the round world man Mike.

Wind was ok when I first went out but did drop away as the afternoon progressed which was a bit of a worry when your only on an 85L board! Did actually make it over to Point Grey this time and saw the nice patch of glass that I would have loved to have got a few more runs on. First time I've used the fin & was very impressed with it even after I took a chunk out on the rocks opposite the launch point, rookie mistake Yell

Saw a patch of water in the middle that wasn't flat but had lumps in it, I have no idea what that was.... Wink

Fantastic effort to get the HR PB Slugger given how the wind was up & down a fair bit, congrats Smile

Mike that really is an amazing achievement "clocking" the world. Seems incomprehensible to a relative newby like me that anyone could cover that amount of distance but when your having so much fun anything is possible!

Firie I think you need to ask the Nigerian Prince who selling Number 8 &10 to show the houses on Google earth Street view...they look suspiciously like parkland to me. I can't believe that you didn't go for the place across the road, the new neighbours have spent the weekend bringing in lots of bottles of chemicals and benches and stuff. I think they are keen amateur chemists or something like that.
