Stanley, TAS, AU

Hit up Stanley with Dad and plan was for a enjoyable session with the boys. What a fun sail!! My mission was Alpha's, so set my kit up for that and was bang on the moneyCool Well powered up and smoking square to the wind. Top six alphas over 27knots!! and a jag of high 26's Yess!! Wind was honking to start with! If we had that, as the chop setteled. I could've been in 28knot territory. Overall StokedLaughing

Stanley, TAS, AU  Great  gybing conditions again, and great to share it with a bunch of alpha maestros, Izaak, Perks, Cookie and Ray.  My little pb is a humble effort compared with their performances,  but I’m happy to bag it, and it was a buzz to be out there with them. Cool

More kiters than windsurfers out there today. Unfortunately one of them left in an ambulance. Frown A very gutsy young lady taking on some challenging conditions at an early  stage on her learning curve. Hope she recovers ok and gets back into it.

Stanley, TAS, AU, Not my day today, got there late did about 5 runs then broke a mast by running aground then catapulting hooked in.

Walked in and got another mast but didn't improve my numbers.

Everyone else sailed really well, great to see izaak going for some alphas.

Tried a few runs in the first channel when the tide came up.

Great sail at Marion with heaps out.  First time sailing the 7.0 on the 87 and it felt great.  Would have been nice to have a bit more wind for 2-second peaks, but well powered up during the 1hr!  A great day!!

Stanley, TAS, AU Awesome day! Got there earlier than everyone else, just in case the wind dropped, but it was way to choppy to bear away for any speed. So fluffed around for an hour or so until it started to become manageable and the crew arrrived. Wow what a nice day watching everyone laying HUGE rooster tails in some smashing U turns.

JP Speed 45, Reflex 5.7 first sail with the new reflex, thinkin me will like this one!

Great day at Marion, a couple more knots of wind would have made for an interesting session.

Marion Bay, TAS, AU  Great wind and lots out. Shorts was the go for me today, I think Russ was the only other leg exposer. Probably should have rigged a bit smaller.  iSonic 90, OD 7.0, MXR 24.

Dorans, fun sail on big gear. 117, 8.6. Wind was sub 10 knots a lot of the time but that gear will go in anything!

Wow what a day state wide. Congrats on the PBs Tim and Bazz. Congrats on the alphas Izaak, Perks, Cookie and Ray. Congrats on the 1hrs Kaleb and Dave. Nice alpha too Dave. What a huge amount of good alphas from the team. Congrats on the top 2 sec Ray and glad you love the new R8. Cheers for the beer Russ and thanks for letting me try your new Maui TR17 6.3. Thats is one sweet sail with heaps of bottom end. Bad luck about the mast Cookie. The main thing is you are OK but still good numbers.

Hey Izaak, how do you 'set your kit up' specifically for alphas???

Hey Andrew, generally, a slightly bigger fin as I'm on my speed board. And a size bigger sail. I would've normally had taken the 5.4m at the wind strength it was.
