Melville Beach, WA, AU. The big gear again (I don't think I've used anything else since January)

There was an unexpected windy sound in the trees, blue sky, and a day off work, so I headed off to Melville to discover only about 3 knots of wind when I arrived. There were some gusts of 10 -15 kn interspersed with the lulls of three knots, so I headed out with the intention of enjoying the gusts while they lasted. For once I timed it well, as I was planing 99% of the time, the water was flattish, and the sky mostly blue. I enjoyed myself, and I think I only missed one gybe and a couple of tacks in the hour of sailing. There were only four of us out in the beginning, others turned up as I was leaving but I think for once I got the best of it.

Arrived just as Anita was finishing. Good to see her injury seems to be getting better.
