Port Douglas, QLD, AU

Sailed with Andrew, ED and Billy this afternoon. Wind range from 5 almost 30 in the gusts, making setup a little difficult in the variable conditions. despite this it was a great afternoon sailing.  Futura 90, 27 Tribal WS, 5 M north

Had a good sail with my mates, Ed, Billy and Ian up here at 4mile Port Douglas.  My smallest sail, - 6m Gator, 41cm fin, 120 litre Atomiq.

The wind had eased off for a bit and then kicked in again.  Managed to get about an hour out there.  Enjoying the adjustable downhaul afforded by the North XT system - combined with adjustable outhaul gives me the ability to trim the sail to suit variable conditions, which is what we had today.  I didn't find myself swearing at all, so it was a good session.  I am living at the beach these days, as there has been such a good amount of wind - possibly will continue well into next week - thank God for School Holidays.Cool  Great to see a few of us up here today.

Must admit, that was just a tad insane. Havnt posted my results lads but lets just say... a 71cm wide board in 20-25 kt lumpy ocean seas was not going to end well and self preservation kicked into over drive very quickly. Although, If I'm being honest, the thought of breaking my new board was ultimately the deciding factor ;) . Great to catch up with you lads though. Take care and talk soon.
