Liptons lightwinder, wanna grab every little bit of seabreeze before it finshes for the season.  CA Custom 74/121  TR9 7m ( coulda done with a bigger sail) and used Pepeweed 26cm/48rake, probably a bit too small but water was quite low, anything bigger would've ploughed.  No other windsurfers out.

What a glorious sail. The water was crisp, the breeze hovering around 13-14 knots, the sun was out and I didn't have any of Agent Slug’s crappy 70’s earworms to deal with.

The shoreside crew slid the barge down the ramp for me and I went for the FangyMKII 20cm as the tide was a bit low. It coped with the 7.5 happily enough. In fact, the only blot was misjudging the tide and not being able to sail out of the Hook.

I started out hanging around the eastern end thinking of some Chutney Runs, but when the dolphins turned up darting back and forth under the board, it set the tone for the whole day. Eventually, once the dolphins had wandered off, I decided to see what the top end was like because from the rigging area there was a good chunk of glass visible.

I worked upwind to find the whole alpha glassy, with properly thick weed growing from the bottom. Obviously, the higher tides of late had kept that hidden from view. I spent the rest of the day just enjoying the magic carpet ride. This is what the fin was designed for and it cut through the thick stuff with ease at speed, imperceptible actually. ( I could feel the weed when grovelling out of a bad gybe)  But overall is was just one of those days when the numbers are completely irrelevant to the how good the day scored.

Safety Bay, greeeat lill session Cool

I missed yesterday session because i removed the gear out of the van thinking it was over Yell

today around 2ish the windshime was playing his music and got me very exited, so loaded the van quickly, just few things.

about 18knts, wanted a easy lazy peazy one so used the 65/102 and the 5.8. was so pleasant, really enjoyed ploding around between the pond and pengos, only 2 of us ah ah ah cld not believe it, few more joined the party. Good time, tide was low, good direction, so the chops was nicely lining up!

Perfect day

Wow, interesting that some weed has finaly appeared this late in the season, I was talking to one of your kiter mates yesterday and he said it was really flat around Boundary Island. I didn't believe him of course, but perhaps he was right!

I could not see any glass up there, but I wasn't really looking either. I will get the binoculars out and have good look and see what I can find.
