Another late season seabreeze, determined to sail as many of these as possible.  Measured 11 to 13.7kts as I rigged, probably picked up to 12 to 15kts at the end.  Used my biggest sail, 8.4m (first time this season Ovt to April).  I wanted to test its low wind limits along with my pepeweed 32/48, = great combo, I planed immediately and stayed on the plane, very happy about that.  As the wind picked up towards the end the board started to fly off the fin, great feeling in those lightish winds.   Carbon Art Custom 74/121  TR7 8.4m and pepeweed 32/48.

Nice afternoon sail with a few of the regulars. A bit choppy as it has been of late but the big board handled it well appart from a couple of jybes when it caught a rail in the chop. A few small steep waves coming in over the sand bar which mad life interesting heading towards it at speed on the big gear.

All in all, a nice afternoon.

Absolutely glorious afternoon cruising around in about 12 knots - until I broke yet another boom and sent it through the panel of the sail...doh!

That wasn't a good end, but man!- it was so nice to be out there, bright sun, clear water and full of 'life is good' vibes.

Party Barge, FangyFinMkII 24, Koncept 8.5 and several pieces of boom.

(I was pleasantly surprised that the MkII 24 fin worked with the 8.5. To be fair, only just. As you can see by the tracks, I was only able to gain a little bit of height with each run. However it never spun out or misbehaved so it was happily do-able, but I think the MkII28 will be a better match.)

Congrats on the PB Roger, that's pretty special in today's breeze! And don't worry about booms, I still have a stash of Gumtree bargains to smash up yet 😛😁

They are not such bargains when they put holes in your sails.

Haha Roger, Have you seen my sails = Duct tape specials! And the boom that broke was my good Severne race boom, not one of my cheap and cheerfuls. There is not justice in the world......., actually I am pretty sure a Boz did something to it :-P)

Maybe he just looked at it. He seems to have that effect on gear. Saying that the tiga 275 seems to have survived another session today.

Congrats Roger, always good when the bloody hard work pays off Cool

Hey Fang I bet I can beat you with the duck tape, oops that sounds wrong. I once had a sail with over 90 bits of tape, true story, guys used to stare at it and laugh but it went perfect, just goes to show hey Wink

I'm finially a lagit Mobster, besides the man boobs, today we moved into new house, no getting rid of me now Laughing

Don't worry Fang I'm sure the boom was fatigued when you where trying to keep up with the plastic fantastic last time I was down Fangland, if you are short I have a couple booms from the eighties they sure can take a lot of weight being placed on themLaughing

The 275 is in fairly good condition for the moment haven't jumped it yetSurprised

Thanks Boz, but I have moved on from the 'tie it on and swing into position' type of boom that you are keen on...And stop mucking about, jump that Tiga already! Good news Firie👍 I did see a Love Shack on wheels at S Bend today, and for a moment I was worried your relations had kicked you out of their back yard again!

Thanks Bob, was so tempted to stop for a rest half way through but my competitive side kicked in. Cant wait to start getting some speed PB,s when the winter storms kick in. The hr and the distance pb,s for me will be the hardest ones to break from now on for me cos I'm no marathon man. If I get fit I might loose the mandatory mob man boobs.

Thanks Morts, put that down to the jybes, the patrik boards jybe so well, unfortunately the 140 needs a football field in which to do it, hence no good alphas on it. Yet.
