Clifton Beach, QLD, AU Crazy swinging wind SE-ESE thenSW .Gear Tabou Manta 98 RSR E 6 7m2 CL SL2carbon -wrong choice...

Had high hopes but between the grovelling, the cussing ,the big swim into Palm Cove then the 2klm walk home carrying the gear it ended up being more of an endurance session today .

Had glimpses of this board's potential though -cant wait to give it a blast in 20-25 knots .

Sailed with Peter Clifford who made a cameo appearance along with his gorgeous daughters ...!!SmileCool

Clifton Beach, QLD, AU As Cam wrote above a bit of everything followed by for me a 2k jog back to Clifton Beach. Drove down to collect the gear, had a look around for Cam but he'd  already begun his epic undertaking lugging his gear back.Surprised Cam helped me out giving me some old gear in good condition and lent me a carbon boom. Thanks a lot, Cam.Laughing

Hit the beach for happy hr with Andrew, James, Ian, and Mandy.Wasn't much wind ,another dodgy forcast... Managed to get a couple of hrs in  after the wind freshened up a bit.Water was flatter than usual which made for an easy fun sail with a few good drag racing sessions  on fully pumped rigs ..wind dropped out again just before sundown, getting a bit frustrated as i can't clock up as many kms  as i would like..117 Isonic burnt out 7.7 Niel rig which had another panel blow out ,This sail is on its very last legsFrown...Think everyone  had an ok session.. And there is talk of another session tomorrow..Andrew is keen to get as much sailing  in while on holidays and James and Mandy are at his place tonight drinking all his Burbone..Ian is going to try and talk the family in to spending the day in Port while he has another play..All in the name of fun..Cheers Ed..

Port Douglas, QLD, AU

A great day to sail with Ed, James, Ian and Mandy - frustrating at the start and got knocked down the beach.  Rigged my North sType 7.8 on isonic 133 - not enough board and not enough breeze.  Spent nearly 30 minutes doing the walk of shame.  When I got back to the top the wind had kicked up a couple of knots and the boys started cranking - I got into it and spent an enjoyable hour and a half cruising around.   Love my new sail - plenty of grunt and easy to deal with - still waiting the bottom camber to make it a three cam sail  - they say the addition of the bottom camber gives the thing more grunt -  definitely looking forward to that - nonetheless, the sun was out and there were friends to enjoy the company of.  Really have enjoyed the amount of wind available during my school holidays - and the next week looks extremely promising as well.  Going out tomorrow and Tuesday - Cool

Ed, the Bourbon is gone - very disappointed you only got in 54kms - must be getting pretty slack.  Hope you can get a leave pass tomorrow - hope the weather Gods can deliver.Innocent
